Stepping into 2009............

New Year's Eve~ 31 December 2008

Had a mini party in office at ard 535pm.. haha... Just BD and 2 colleagues from marcom =)

Finally, I tried ostrich meat............. It's so awful I tell ya, I spit it out immediately after it entered my mouth... haha! Maybe coz I was picturing the poor ostrich being killed.. and that I'm eating something out of this world.. hee! Nauseous thoughts just crept in... It was psychological! =P

We bought beer! HAha.. fruit beer~ Yum Seng..................................

Part 2... After work...

Had dinner at Thai Express and then shopped ard at Marina square...

Made our way down to our favourite venue for viewing fireworks... Waited 2+ hrs for the 7mins fireworks display.... =P

Haha! They were the last few people i saw in 2008.... First few ppl I see in 2009! Happy new year hei hei shu shus.................... HAHA~ I must say they were realli excited and enthusiastic.. =P VV noisy oso............ haha..

The weekend that followed was full of shopping~ =)

On Friday night, I went out shopping with Aijia and Angie after work... Lucky girls.. They either came from home/shopping... I had work.......... =P

Anyway.......... we shopped and shopped... ard bugis village.. We bought shoes! And guess what?? I bought a pair of ferragamo-lookalike flats! sweetness......... haha... 15 bucks nia! *drools* It's vv comfy too...........

Had work on Saturday *double sian*

Went for a hair cut after work, at my aunt's place... goodness! Now i look like a fishball~ *sobz*

That aside, Chinatown is now fully decorated with CNY decorations... CNY is coming~ woohoo!

Went shopping with Beh Beh yi and Ah Qi... at bugis area again... HAHA! Ah Qi wants to buy CNY clothes

New Resolutions for the New Year!

Well well… The New Year has arrived… so quickly! Can’t really believe that I’m turning 23 this year…It’s amazing how things change and I totally agree that time and tide waits for no man…

It seems like yesterday that I was still a little girl chasing/scaring birds on the field… I still remember how mummy used to bring me to the grass patch outside raffles place MRT every weekend... It used to be my playground (I’m such a high class girl, other kids will go to neighbourhood playgrounds, but I go to the CBD playground =P)… I would run around the perimeter and the grass is ever so sooo soft and green... I will make myself fall down on purpose just to sit on the grass… hee! Mummy must be feeling paiseh that she had such a daughter…. The grass is still soft and green now though.. We would then buy peach tarts from HAN’S before heading to grandma’s place (Which is my aunt’s place, at Chinatown)…

That aside…. It’s time for New Year Resolutions! =)

1) Be a good/nicer daughter, sister, niece, cousin, friend, girlfriend (In short, a good girl…)

2) Stay Healthy (meaning more exercising and eat well)

3) Target weight is 50kg (HAHA! This is quite impossible)

4) Learn Spanish and Malay (Since I’ve studied Level 1 in my Uni days, I should continue to learn these languages… DIY)

5) Land myself a good job, at least decent… =P

6) Read more (It’s important to keep updated with the current affairs and also self-improvement books)

7) Whip up some nice dishes for loved ones

8) I want to travel (to somewhere…)

9) I want to buy a good 8MP camera phone

10) Be a better/skillful driver? Haha….. if better, master the drift… =P (I’m seriously kidding…)

The Long Christmas Weekend~ before 2009 came...

HAPPY NEW YEAR everyone~ Finally, a new year has arrived! Before I blog about how I spent my New Year's Eve... Let me just take some time off to recap and reminisce my long and enjoyable Christmas weekend that passed so quickly...

I had a minimalist BBQ at ECP with a bunch of lovely people on the weekend before Christmas =) Why is it minimalist? We had no pit to start with.. HAHA!

We simply bought everything we needed from the nearby supermarkets.. haha.. reali~ Even chicken wings we bought were already marinated! How nice~ hee!

Reached ECP soon after 6pm

Nope, this is not our tent.. haha..

The guys started to set up our own before the sky turned dark~

Then we started to set up our own BBQ pit.. With one aluminium tray and wire gauze =)

We had gift exchange too~ We were vv down to earth (pun intended) HAha! we sat on the grass with plastic bags below our butts... I felt vv at ease ironically.. haha...

Thinking that the night was still young, we decided to go K-ing after that.. Despite all being sweaty and smelling like bbq pork, we went off to Dynasty (a cheena KTV at peace centre)

Woohoo~~ HAPPY! We sang from 12 to around 230am... Madness! Considering that I woke up super early for work that day... =P

Fast forward to Boxing day............

Went to Aunt Beh's house with Mummy and Ah Qi... My lil Jiaxin cut hair!! She looks like a lil sha gua~~ HAHA~ So very cute.. *pinch*

Went shopping with Mummy and Ah qi at Chinatown after that~ Mummy wants to buy some new clothes for the new year =) CNY is coming soon lo~ Excited! I need to get mine soon too....

Went to eat Suki Sushi buffet with Mr. Koh after that......... We ate alot!! Look at his face and u'll know....................... haha...

On Sunday morning, the same week......... We went to casuarina for prata brunch =)

Went to upper/lower pierce reservior for some sight-seeing after meal...

It was my parents' wedding anniversary that day =) 28 December.... We had a nice and simple Zhi Char dinner at Boon Keng area..... Scrumptious... Stop your drool.. haha.........
