Weili's Birthday Celebration~

I took half day leave today (got questioned why I took leave? For interview meh? =P)... For bysi sale and also to take a goooood break from work.. Staying there any longer will only make me snap~ It's insane... Thankfully, I got dearest Seetoh to accompany me... She took a day's leave and we went to BYSI sale together =)

Not knowing the exact location of the warehouse, we gong gong-ly took the buses stated on the BYSI sales brochure.. Hopped on bus 15 and we headed to the land of we-duno-where... hee!

Yes, we overshot our stop... and alighted when we realized the bus is going no where.. haha! Asked friendly passer-bys for directions, and they helpfully pointed to the area where they think it should be... HAha.. 9 Kaki Bukit Place is a difficult place to find lo!

The friendly passer-bys pointed to a vvv wrong place btw... HAHA! Looks more like a warehouse for furniture and electronics.. not apparels.. =P

We reckoned flagging a cab would be the best solution.. hee! Finally, uncle cabbie took us to the venue...

The sale was disappointing wor........ Vvvv off season stuff.... boring~ But nonetheless, I got a vvv nice top! =)

Headed to City Hall for coffee........ Yippeee~ My dear bear treated me to coffee at Gloria Jeans.. We talked, chatted, laughed like how we used to in JCs.. Totally unglam... =P But we couldnt care less.. We needed to chill... =) Thankew for listening to my boring rants.. Appreciate that~ *hugz*


We went window-shopping around City Hall area... Frolicking from shop to shop... not really shopping, but just dragging our weary souls in this busy urban jungle.. It's been such a long time since we've shopped like that.. Behaving so much like childish and whiny girls... We're oblivious to the world around us... How we miss school days~
Seetoh went off to meet her friend for dinner, while I made my way to central to meet sy =)

Cabbed home with sy, weili and shiling.. Spotted an orange Nissan 350z beside us while in the cab..

The conversation with the Cabbie was too classic, I had to document it down.. HAha! This was how it began....

Me to sy: "wah!... 2 AMs in a Nissan Fairlady..."
...the cabbie interrupted..
Cabbie to Me: "no lah... it's Nissan 350z... the model is 350z, see the brand at the back?"
Me to cabbie: Huh? This is Nissan Fairlady leh....
(thinking to myself: this uncle don't know cars.. I see so many Fairladys on the raod, how can I not recognize one? =P Nissan Fairlady is Nissan 350z loh...)
Cabbie: Nissan Fairlady don't look like that..... they look nicer...... blah blah blah..
(I kept quiet while he continued talking about cars, engines...)
Cabbie to me: I think you more interested in cars than the girls behind.. so I tell you more about them.. Did you watch the F1 in Singapore?
Me to Cabbie: Yes... but I watched from the outside..
Cabbie rattled on to tell me how good Ferrari cars are........ Aeroplane engines... (I was like.. Oh.. wow... =P)

Cabbie to Me: You know they win the race in Japan... (did they? I thought to myself)
Me to Cabbie: I know Ferrari screwed up their race in Singapore.. Massa and the pit stop disaster...
Cabbie to Me: Ya... Hamilton also screwed up... He's also a Ferrari racer.....
(I scratched my head....)
Me to Cabbie: Uncle, Hamilton is not from Ferrari racer leh~
(Suku... I think he drive too much taxi le.. haha... Or he never read/watch the news.. he might be from mars too)...
Cabbie to Me: No lah... He is from the Ferrari team..........
(at this point, I think I should end the topic on cars.. He made me confused =P)

This uncle hor.. vv hao lian.. wanna xian me... Though I may be a noob, but i definitely know my stuff well loh~.. HAHA! But he did made the journey more amusing.......... =P

My long weekend will officially start on Saturday 1pm... Time for bed~

Mental Block

Super stressful day at work.. I've so much to do, so much projects to handle, so many people and bosses to deal with, so little time to even go to pantry, so little time to even close my eyes and rest, very pathetic lunch, never-ending amount of work to finish... So little recognition, so much comments...

"challenge yourself... " I hear this every now and then.... I derive so so little joy from work.. It's affecting me somehow.. I guess even the toughest gets affected somehow.. It's not healthy or motivating at all...

And I saw something I didnt wanna see.......... Yes, it's Murphy's law.. What will go wrong will always go wrong... Yes, I have work this Saturday...

First it was Tangs, then it was Robinsons.. Then came Charles and Keith, then it was Wingtai... My goodness~ We've only just began the sale epidemic......

Poor legs have been badly tortured by my merciless heels... Ridiculous long queues at sales, huge crowd of people, shockingly low prices.. HAha...

Wanted to buy some good facial pdts... but am still waiting for an incredible sale that can make me part with my money =P

So far, I've spent 48 at Charles and Keith.. 2 pairs of lovely heels for $9 each, a bag for mummy ($15)and a bag ($15) for myself... Ultra cheap... I've decided, I shant buy new heels for CNY liao... HAHA!

I love this bag... ALOT! Like a bowling bag~ =)

Resisted the temptation for Wingtai sale... =P Awaiting more........... I'm guarding my pockets well.. hee!

But anyways~ I'm excited about x'mas.......... getting gifts for loved ones, humming x'mas carols, eating good food... Immersing in the festive mood.... *jingle bells*

I've always loved Novembers and Decembers... When young, end of year would mean holidays, no school, only slacking... and now, when im working, end of year is still as nice... I still look forward to it... more money to spend, more good food, more presents!! HAHA.........

Was doing some market survey at Raffles Place area with Peronel and Wilson last week... After a hard day's work.. This is how we reward ourselves.. HAha.. At this beautiful coffee house inside the Red Dot Museum......... =)

I want to go overseas~ fly off to somewhere relaxing (beaches/resorts would be good), vibrant (places with lotsa shopping/food would be nice), scenic (adverturous hiking/trekking sounds exciting) =) So many choices, so little time and money =P

I had Tom Yum soup based ramen with chicken cutlet..

Miss Shiyou had her paper steamboat... I 'kop' all her crabmeat.. WAHAHA! Yes.. she is camera-shy... =P

Miss Felicia joined us a lil later........ =)

We spent the rest of the night chatting abt old times... and chilling at Mc Donald's sipping coke and milkshake, eating the all time favorite sundae ice cream....................... How I wish we neednt work the next day.. But wells..... It was an enjoyable meet up!

So many holidays are coming....... I feel excited all of a sudden... =)

Small Food No. 2........

Look Look Look! Mini food sighted~
Yay! Bought my 2nd box of mini food... Mini food heals my hungry soul.. hee.... This time around, I bought my mini food at this toy shop at Wheelock =) *beams* You know, it's pretty hard to find mini food leh... if you are lucky, you might find it in some action city outlets... ocassionally at Meidi-ya (jap supermarket at Novotel basement).. HAha... makes me cringe and sigh when I can't find them..

HAha.. But now I know where to get them.. Guaranteed stock, chop chop confirm! Unless the shop close down... But seriously, small food is pretty expensive wor... more expensive than the real food =P

You'll know what you'll be getting when you buy at this shop because they will open the box to see what's inside before hand.. So, they will indicate what's inside simply by sticking a sticker on the respective designs printed on the box... Clever? A good thing abt this is, there will be a range of prices for such small food.. The cheaper ones will be of coz the not so nice ones.. HAha..

For fanatics like me, who are crazy abt them but don't have much to spare... will definitely choose cheaper ones.. hee...

Nevertheless, let me reveal what I've got.. at 4 bucks! =)

So cute so sweet so delicious~ Japanese pancakes and biscuits.. exquisitely crafted and painted.. They even have vvv beautiful boxes to contain the pancakes.. =)

Don't they look delicious? Too real......... Real-er than the real ones.. HAha! *drooling*

They even have a brochure kinda card.. accompanying the delicacies..

This is one of the cheaper sets available... Still as nice tho =) But when I feel richer, I will buy a nicer one, a more expensive set... hee!

A non-typical Saturday work day...

Was at DBS auditorium for a SIAS corporate profiling seminar on Saturday afternoon.. Purpose of me being there is to be at my company's booth and attend to any queries which investors have..

Spent the morning memorising dividend payout, revenue, company growth priorities, figures and figures.. HAha.. felt like studying for some exams.. Well-prepared to defend any arrows that meanie investors might fire =P

Reached early, and started mingling with my colleagues..

The scandalous pair in BD... HAHA! Both married, not to each other.. hee~ Wilson and Peronel..

No pictures of me.. =( It's in another camera.. HAha!

So.. it was break time and investors started scrambling out like army of ants.. A long queue started to form, not in front of my booth.. but at the buffet counter.. HAha.. Singaporeans~

Then slowly, some came over, took free Annual reports and corporate brochures and left.. nv asked much.. Then, this ah-beng look-a-like man came over, took some brochures, and asked my sales colleague.. " Why is it that the top management received so much payout compared to the dividend that the investors receive?"

I was stunned.. Seriously, he is sooooooo direct, so very direct.. I respect his courage, but hated his qn... HAHA! how to ans? you think I'm the boss meh? I'm a poor, salaried employee leh~

Anyway, I think my colleague managed to shake him off with his trademark smile and laughter, trying to divert the topic... talk abt some other key performing units.. and slowly walked away~ haha..

The remaining day was spent strolling along orchard road with Li Lee before meeting Mr. Koh for dinner..

It was a wet and cold Saturday~ Haha.. Looking forward to a dry and fair Sunday =)
