Learning Spanish "again"

Been in the corporate world for almost a year now... How time flies! It seems like yesterday that I was still in school.. Mugging hard for the exams.. I remembered taking Spanish as an elective during my Uni days... It was pretty fun, and not a hard language to master (I think =P)... But learning a foreign language takes alot of patience and practise, coz you don't really use it that often.. In fact, you hardly use it..

After a year of not touching Español, I'm determined to re-learn and upgrade myself.. haha! Life gets meaningless if it's all about work and work.. Why not add some spice and learn something useful? =)

I just went to the library and borrowed 2 books on "learning Spanish"... I hope I can at least hold a decent conversation in spanish with whoever can speak spanish.. hahhaha!

Time to be "knowlegable"~ =)

A Tribute to MJ

I've always enjoyed listening to MJ's songs since young.. I grew up with his songs.. His voice is so young and clean, it's beautiful~

I remember waking up to his songs every weekend coz Daddy will always play his LD in our mini karaoke room.. Back in my old house, which is now few blocks away from my current house.. hahhaa...

Was awfully shocked yesterday morning when heard on the radio that he passed away 4am Singapore time.. My heart sank, for a few seconds....

I sighed.. Another great loss to the entertainment industry.. He's a legend, with a life too complicated and complex to comprehend...

But whatever it is, I hope he finds peace in his other 'Neverland Ranch'........

Happy Birthday Bear!

Happy Birthday Seetoh~ Now, she has been promoted to the ‘23’ league! haha.. I would like to think that it’s a good thing… Growing wiser day by day… I don’t dare to think what will happen to me when I’m 25.. Sounds pretty far, but I know no matter how, the merciless time will always escape my powerful clutches… haha! no matter how hard I grab it……

Anyways, Qian Ru, Seetoh and I met for dinner at Soup Spoon… My first time eating there! =)

After the simple yet filling dinner, we went up the sky =) Yes~ 70 floors up the sky!

We went up to City Space Bar, which was located right at the top of swissotel… =) The ride up took less than 15 seconds… OMG! and my ears almost burst when I reached the top =P Had to constantly swallow my saliva to unblock my ears… haha…

We ordered the expensive drinks.. FYI, every patron has to order a drink.. No sharing.. haha! So, it you’re on a tight budget, you are advised not to visit this place.. hahaha…

Posing with our drinks! *cheers* Seetoh had baileys.. While I had this martini called “sweet indulgence”… Which I don’t think the waitress got my order right.. I shall explain later… I’m sure I didn’t order something by the name of Sweet Indulgence (sounds LC right? hahaha!)

The story goes like this.. When Qian Ru’s order came, this waitress said it’s sweet indulgence (which is not possible, coz i rem it’s called sour apple martini).. We asked another waitress to clarify and she said it’s sour apple martini.. Ok, cleared…

Then my drink came (I seriously forgot the name of my drink coz I asked the waitress to recommend something nice earlier..), the waitress told me it’s sweet indulgence (I’m sure it’s not sweet indulgence coz I won’t order a martini with such a name =P) hahaha!

So, the conclusion is… The waitresses like to name drinks “sweet indulgence”… Anyhow anyhow =P

But seriously, their drinks are lethal.. A sip will assure you that the money you paid is all worthwhile =P Drinks from Dbl-O can step aside..

There was a live band there as well… That sang some soothing tunes.. It was pretty romantic.. Lights were dim, but not very dark… Songs were nice~

We dedicated a birthday song for Seetoh.. and the waitress presented her with the birthday cake we got for her.. It was planned before hand.. (the cake was bought from outside, and due to the bar’s weird rules, we were not allowed to consume outside food…) So, the cake was just for show.. HAHA! poor seetoh had to bring the cake home to eat) =P

Happy Father’s Day

It was Father’s Day last Sunday, but I was in Batam =P So unfilial I know… But but we had an early celebration instead on Friday! =) TGIF……..

But being a good daughter, I treated the whole family to Boon Tong Kee Chicken Rice at Boon Keng. It was a heart-warming (literally too) dinner =) Ah girl (ahem), found a new job, just got paid… So it calls for a celebration.. Double celebration in fact~ =)

What’s more, it was a Friday! Mummy was on leave that day….. it was a family gathering! hahaha…

I've never really liked Lee Hom... Haha! Coz there's always this particular Taiwan Ah Beng who kept me loyal to him for years... =P

But I quite like this song by Lee Hom.. A pretty recent song.. called 心跳..
A sad song.. And I find the lyrics meaningful.. I've always loved sad love songs, not that I'm caught in such a predicament, but I just think they sound better and are filled with more emotions~

Hahahaha… It all began with this random Ah Beng from this computer shop which I got my Laptop from… He was playing this album in his shop, then I asked if that’s Jay’s new album (then), he asked if I want the album.. Then tadah, he uploaded the whole album into my brand new lappie.. HAHA! I felt so bad after that, I’ve disappointed my idol…….. hee!

Anyways…… I can’t wait for Jay’s new album =)
