Meet-up with PPG

Met PPG on a friday night~

It’s been quite some time since PPG has met up for a nice dinner together.. Every meet up reminds me of the good old days in school…. =)

We had a nice dinner at a Jap restaurant at Liang Court! and we adjourned to TCC at boat quay for some chilling session.. haha! As usual, when 3 girls meet, the amount of noise pollution created is definitely significant..

We do observe some stares here and there.. either coz of our awful and disturbing laughter, or our funny forced accent while trying to imitate someone or some groups of people from some nationalities during our casual conversations.. We are not trying to be mean or critical, but we are just trying to make our conversations more varied and interesting… =P

This was what I ordered… Super pretty dessert with a high class and sexy name.. “Strawberry Romantasia”…Price is just as glamourous =P

Orientation Programme

Been a very long time since I’ve last attended an orientation.. haha.. My last orientation was during my JC days at this cozy lil school at Ang Mo Kio… hahaha… I had fond memories.. all the funny games, mass dance, get-to-know people and friends sessions..

It was a pretty interesting sight (I mean back then).. It was more of people watching (right PPG? How can we forget the ‘F4’ back then.. AB, ABF, Double F and Triple F… hahha… only PPG can decode this =P) and having fun after the dreadful O levels..

So this time round, I had my orientation AGAIN! haha.. Different setting, different set of people I see.. of all ages~ It was an interesting change.. It was a 3 day programme.. with the first 2 days being lectures, and the 3rd day at Sentosa.. The 3rd day was some team building and semi outdoor adventure camp.. haha…

It was definitely an AWESOME break away from work! =) Now I’m missing it… I dun mind having orientation for a month…. haha..

The first 2 days were pretty boring.. How interesting can lectures be? =P The 3rd day was fun! Not much pictures though, coz I was away from my camera phone for most of the time…

This is me with Siti, my buddy during the 3 days.. DSC00522

And some pictures of the indoor games.. hahahaha!DSC00525DSC00524

It was fun fun fun.. I got to know quite a few nice people from the camp, but most of them are not from HQ… meaning I won’t get to meet them so frequently in future.. haha! but it was fun interacting and getting to know people from other departments =)

Time to get back to work soon… *sullen* Time flies when you are having fun.. isnt it?

Upper Seletar Reservoir…

… on a Sunday morning~ =)

After some prata at Jalan Kayu… Daddy brought us to the place where he and mummy used to go Pak tor.. hahahaha!

Very romantic indeed~ Daddy was saying, during those days, when they were still young working adults and couldnt afford to have their own transport.. They had to take a bus to seletar area… haha.. FYI, they used to live at ard Chinatown area.. WAH! Imagine how long the bus journey will take.. They come all the way to take pictures.. with daddy’s antique camera and a tripod… vv romantic ya.. hahahhaa…

Must be vv sweet!

Anyway, back to our outing…. now~

We climbed up the iconic tower situated just beside the reservoir.. haha.. The never-ending spiral stairway made me pant and giddy when I reached the top… I know I’m weak.. signs of aging!

Then, with my beloved C095… haha.. We took some self-timer shots! =)

DSC00511It was hot and glaring.. Pretty sunny Sunday!

DSC00514With Daddy… against the beautiful backdrop~

The view from above…

Then we ‘rolled’ down and loitered around the grass patch below the tower.. haha… It was beautiful..

DSC00517

Grass was green… flowers were red… Reservoir was clear and the sky was blue.. It was a nice break away from the hustle and bustle of city life..

Self timer shot again.. haha.. We were standing on some shaky rocks.. This explains the vv awkward pose.. hahaha…

DSC00519Ah Qi was busy snapping away with her beloved Holga… while Daddy was thinking of those days… haha!

A final shot to end this short trip to Upper Seletar Reservoir… I love my Sundays! =)

Xpress’ Girlies @ Holland Village

It has been a month since the girlies at Xpress met up… =) And of course like every other meet up.. Princess Vera will always be there…….

This time around, Princess Vera was in a mini demin skirt.. which easily revealed her sexy navy blue panties.. HAHA! So young and so sexy ya.. I’m sure it’s the mum that chose this colour for her.. tsk tsk! teach Vera how to be sexy at such a young age =P

Anyway, we met at this Vietnamese restaurant @ Holland Village called Pho Hoa… I havent really tried Vietnamese food before.. So it was a refreshing change =) My impression of Vietnamese food is that it’s super healthy and nutritious.. That’s why you’ll see that Vietnamese are all so slim!! Now it confirms my hypothesis…

Trang (the Vietnamese Intern from NTU who just ended her internship at Xpress) joined us too =) So, we made her do all the ordering.. haha!

First up.. Some vegetable and mango salad with prawns.. Sour, tangy with a subtle sweetness…

DSC00485

Then, came the ‘po piah’… I forgot the name of the dish.. But the wrap is almost transparent.. With tonnes of vegetables inside.. 100% vegetarian dish.. haha… nice too!DSC00484

Then we had this ‘minced meat stuck to a sugarcane shoot’ dish.. haha! Sorry, I’m really bad with names… but it is basically meat ya~ =P

DSC00486

Then, came our main dish~ Their famous pho – Vietnamese noodle.. I’ll say the noodle is like a thicker version of our kway teow.. haha.. Nice! Mine is with chicken shreds… DSC00487

Whereas, they shared the Beef Pho.. I don’t really like beef… But i tried the soup… It tasted funny~ =P DSC00489

Last but not least, we ordered another salad… Haha! as you can see, alot of greens again.. With chicken meat.. The meat tasted so much like barbecued pork… haha! But nice~DSC00488Ok, that’s all for food =) Though it seems like we ordered alot, we each paid less than 14 bucks… cheap! and we had good food.. haha…

Then it was time for some entertainment..

DSC00490

Vera molested me AGAIN! Her mummy never teach her well =P haha..

DSC00492AGAIN!… squashed my face this time round too =P

DSC00483 A group shot! =)DSC00494Trang, Me and Catherine.. Catherine’s flying off to Shenzhen soon… We’ll meet up again ya? When you’re back… =)

This is Peronel, the mummy who will unload her second Princess soon…. and with Vera, who looks unusually quiet and demure in this picture… haha! She is acting.. hahaha…

DSC00495

We adjourned to coffee club for some coffee again… What a nice way to end my busy and stressful Monday~ =)

DSC00497

The girl that never grows up

I still like and collect stickers =)

Yes, I can see everyone shaking their heads now.. I don’t know why, but even though I don’t really use them (like pasting them everywhere the house), I still want them back home with me….

So cute….. Look at these pop-up stickers.. so adorable~ can you see the toaster, kettle, pots and pans and apron? They have faces too!!

DSC00479

Maybe I should do something with them.. They should be paraded and not hidden in my drawer.. haha..

Shall start pasting stickers everywhere in my room now =P

Sunday brunch is “Family Time”

This Sunday, the family had a nice brunch at Margaret Drive… Whole chicken with some vegetables.. *drools* Simple feast but lotsa fun!

Adjourned to Queensway to check out shoes.. Even a simple rest/tea break at Mc Donalds is so enjoyable.. This is what money cannot buy~

DSC00475

Due to my superb camera skills, I couldn’t get my head inside the picture.. But it’s ok~ You can imagine me inside.. =P

And it’s another week……

Kelong Trip

It was my first time going to a Kelong.. A floating kelong, located pretty near Changi Village.. A 10 mins boat ride from the jetty and we’re there~

It was a department welfare activity.. So my job for that day was to eat eat and be merry =)

The kelong is really wobbly.. Not recommended for people who are easily sea sick..

The highlights of the trip was……. In chronological order~
