Yummy home-cooked dinner!
Nothing extravagant or lavish.. But it's simple and delicious~ Something I'll always look forward to, after a tiring day at work..
Made with love and eaten with joy! =)

Flower Dome and Cloud Forest
Barely 2 weeks after our last visit to our country's latest attraction "Gardens by the bay", we (or rather me) couldn't contain our excitement to enter the 2 paid domes.. How can one not enter the 2 domes when they are there? =p
It's like eating pancakes without maple syrup.. Haha!
So we did what all eager Singaporeans would.. We flocked back to the gardens and went straight to the ticketing booth, skipping the peripheral gardens this time rd..
Being a Singaporean (with passion card) we bought the tickets at a discounted price of $18 for entry to both domes! Unlike most, I actually find the price reasonable.. Haha.. It's akin to paying for 2 movies tickets isn't it? Furthermore, I think Nparks did a great job! =)
Anyways, what I like about both temperature-controlled conservatories is the cool climate.. Made me feel like I'm in a foreign land.. Haha!
Flower Dome as the name suggests has so many varieties of flower species, and it makes strolling so much pleasurable and colourful!
Cloud Forest provides visitors a more exotic experience.. With the giant man made waterfall welcoming all at the entrance, I knew it's going to be very different from the Flower Dome.. It's more adventurous, more walking involved, at higher altitudes (thankfully, there are lifts to reach the top =p)..
Overall, it was a refreshing experience, compared to our usual weekend strolls in shopping malls.. Haha.. We got to see more greens, flowers, and more flowers~ we definitely went trigger-crazy there again.. Haha!

These made me smile
"So often, it is often the most nondescript of items, the ones we tend to disregard that, when you bring them to the forefront and celebrate their quiet existence, truly makes people smile"
- Douglas Young, co-founder, Goods of Desire
I couldn't agree more with the above statement..
On a separate and lighter note, these little food and kitchen collection stickers, easily made me smile =)

Gardens by the bay
Indeed~ it is a beautiful big garden, by our very own marina bay! =)
I remember reading about this mega project on the newspapers years back, along with the artist's impression of how it would look like upon completion and am honestly looking forward to the day it's opened to the public..
Haha.. I'm usually not the kind who would dash to every new attraction the moment it's opened, i prefer to wait for the crowd to subside... but ironically, we headed straight to 'gardens by the bay' on the 3rd day after its official opening! Haha.. I'd like to think that it's our Polaroids that dragged us there =p
All in all, I only have 2 words to sum up my experience there.. Haha.. And they are 'huge' and 'magical'!
It's quite impossible to finish walking through all the different mini themed gardens nested within, in one afternoon.. We couldn't even finish strolling through all gardens and decided that we would come back again another day to visit the flower domes, which is actually the main attraction at gardens by the bay.. Haha!
We settled dinner at MBS, and headed back to the garden at night.. Hee.. And it's definitely a sight to behold when the 'super trees' light up in a myriad of colours at night~ we found a spot below one of the super trees and indulged ourselves in icy cold 贡茶 and kettle potato chips.. It's dark at night, and pretty magical too~ thoroughly entertained by the immersive music and super trees that changes colour with the music =)
That being said, I'm missing that place now.. Haha..

Project sparky
Looking back at some of my old photos, my lil sister said "you seem to have lost the 灿烂笑容 you used to have"
Came as a shock that she would utter something like that.. But I couldn't agree more that something seems to have robbed that away from me.. Let it not be age =p
A mid 2012 resolution to myself~ Finding sparky =)

Seetoh's Birthday!
3 weeks back~ haha..
Very slow in blogging these days =p
Anyways, we went over to full house at rendezvous hotel to celebrate dearest Seetoh's birthday! It's a themed cafe that seems to bring us into another magical world~ almost like lalaland.. Haha!
Very beautiful mini fountains, huge posh looking sofas, carpet grass, whimsical bird cages.. Enough to make me go a little crazy inside, snapping pictures away =)
I don't think men can appreciate, so this would be one of the places where girlies can gather! Haha.. I do see some men there, but I reckoned they were either forced to accompany their gfs, or a woman trapped in a man's body =p
Food was ok~ abit pricey, but I guess part of it had to go to the money spent on decorating the place..
We had fun catching up.. And of course, enjoyed scrambling about the cafe taking pictures =)
Happy birthday dearest Seetoh!!

Finding the balance
"Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance you must keep moving."
Isn't it true? Life doesn't just stop when you hit a rough patch, it goes on as you struggle to find balance in everything..
It's an endless pursuit, for the libran in me..
