Looking back...

The past few months went past with just a blink of the eye.. Unbelievable, unforgettable and indeed life-changing.. Feels like I'm suddenly forced to grow up, entering a new phase in life which I never knew I had the courage to.. But time and tide waits for no man.. The day will come when we all have to grow up~

Most people transit into married life easily (almost normally), moving out of their homes, and settling into routine work life again.. For me, it was an uphill task, it may seem laughable, but moving out of the home I love so much was extremely hard, letting go of things I'm used to was equally challenging.. but I'm glad I was able to eventually, with the support of my family and friends, and now working towards building a home with Mr Koh, beginning another chapter in life.. And for that, I'm proud of myself, and it also reminded me not to take the people and things I love for granted, and for the fact that I get to live and see the beautiful world everyday~ and indeed, I know I'm deeply loved and am very fortunate.. =)

I am now married and staying in a newly renovated unit that Mr Koh and I now call home too.. Our honeymoon in Europe was beautiful, so beautiful.. The breath-taking sceneries, the experiences and the memories will stay with me for a long time!

There were many other lifestyle changes that followed gradually, and I'm taking them as they come with an open heart..

Be brave WeiShi.. be positive, be strong!

The day I'll remember for as long as I live

The Lim's Family Portrait!

Been very busy with renovation and wedding preparation lately.. Omg we only have 2 weeks left, don't even dare to think of the things which are not done.. Really busy and tiring, I see dark circles and wrinkles creeping in.. Age must be catching up with me.. Yikes!

But I still need to keep my blog alive! Haha.. With a simple post to welcome the weekend~ Our Family Portrait has arrived! And it's safely back at home.. Haha!

Now the 林家 Family Portrait (fresh from the oven) is hanging nicely at our living room! =)

New addition!
My dear family~

Sisi's convocation & Family photo-taking

The baby at home has finally graduated! =)
I think my folks been waiting for this day, and are very happy that all their kids have finally finished their studies (the traditional route - don't think anyone is intending to further their studies in the near future).. Haha!
I'm very proud of my Sisi too! A double major graduate.. The smartest of the 3 rascals at home~
A 'Sisi-feeling-proud" moment.. Haha
Reminded me of my NTU days, short 3 years but everyday seemed like fun to me! There was never a dull day as I recall =) I was not very active in school, just the average student who goes to classes diligently.. Haha.. With a cup if tea/coffee in hand whenever I go for lectures... Shioks! Sometimes mac breakfast too.. The 4 hr journey to-fro school journey from home was unforgettable... But thankfully I had my creative MP3 (that's an antique now!) with me as I mug away or nap on the long train rides.... Time flies~
6 years later, I returned to Nanyang Auditorium for my Sisi's convocation.. Nanyang Auditorium is also used as an examination venue during examination periods.. Haha.. All the memories - my friends and I feeling stressed and jittery while waiting for the exams to start outside the Audi... Last min cramping info into our brains~ I'm kinda miss exams... Haha
Enough of the recollections..
Now it's my Sisi's turn!
My Sisi is a graduate!
Chaotic.. But happy faces everywhere
Everyone wore happy faces~ all the new graduates scrambled about taking pictures with the friends and family.. They must be excited, eagerly waiting to prove themselves and to carve out a career in their respective fields (I think).. The world is your oyster - chase for your dreams~
Chaotic.. But happy faces everywhere

Fast forward 2 weeks later... We arranged for a family photo taking with Serangoon broadway~ haha.. I know my folks have waited very long for this too.. Haha

DnD! - Fright Night....

Wooooo... That's the theme of this year's DnD.. First time putting effort to dress up for a dinner event.. Haha! I find it a hassle to look pretty for dinners, I don't really like to spend money and too much effort dolling myself up.. Haha.. So for this DnD, it's the first time I spend so much time to 'doll' myself up for anything.. Haha! I'm impressed with my get-up.. and I'm so scary that I scare myself! Woooo~ Thanks to one of my colleague who did the make up for me.. Haha..

Carpe diem.. My new found motto in recent years~ rather in today's generation's words.. YOLO! Haha.. I never felt such a strong urge to really dress up for DnD.. but with the right company where everyone is game enough, you'll get a table of horrible looking ghosts! Haha..

Presenting the bloody and vengeful student ghost... Haha! I chose this get up coz it's really easy to do, and I don't have to spend a bomb.. I look awful, and that's what I want to achieve! =p

Ok.. Rewind abit to the preparations.. Haha.. Wency let us prepare in the room she booked for a staycation with her hubby.. And we made a small mess =p

Still got time to watch tv..
Caught in the act!
Nice view!
Show time! My table of ghosts....
Smiley ghosts!
I look so awful.. My colleagues almost couldn't recognize me.. Haha
The evening was spent taking pictures with colleagues who dressed up or just came as themselves.. Haha

A colleague passed me this black wooden baby.. And I had to babysit it.. Haha!
My team! And carol's handsome boy - Travis!
Travis is so happy here!
I made handsome Travis cry coz he was too overwhelmed with seeing too many ghosts that night.. He broke down when he saw me! Haha.. Sorry Travis~ but he got used to me in that scary outfit after a while.. Hahaha..

Memorable DnD.. It was fun! Looking forward to the next DnD.. Haha.. With an even more exciting theme~ hee...

Felicia and Ong Heng's wedding

Dearest Felicia and Ong Heng's wedding was held at beautiful Bali.. It's my first time there.. Mr Koh's too~ so we both took this opportunity to do some sightseeing.. itinerary was packed with chilling at hipster beach clubs, sightseeing, shopping and of course attending my 'sister's wedding! All within a short 4d3n stay at Bali.. It was very eventful trip, especially when we were traveling in a group! with shiyou, shiling, weili and mummy-to-be Huiling =)

Shall let pictures do the talking~

Setting off
Their airport design is a fusion of modern and heritage
By our villa's pool! Shioks

Felt surreal to stay in a big villa.. All to ourselves.. Equipped with 3 big bedrooms, a living area, garden.. And of course, the infinity pool behind me! Haha..

Chitter chatter.. Haha
Porch area
We stayed at uluwatu area and it's indeed very ulu!! At least an hour ride to anywhere touristy.. Haha.. Well, we can only console ourselves with the fresher air and awesome scenery near the coast.. Haha..

We were famished on day 1.. Wanted to eat Babi guling (suckling pig), but the shop was closed when we arrived.. So we went straight to the renowned potato head.. And queued for almost an hour before we could enter.. Over rated =p

We missed lunch due to some hiccups and finally settled the second and third meal here at potato head~ we needed to pamper our weary bodies! Haha..

Sunset.. Which I can't really appreciate.. Haha
Pool in the beach club! Cools!
I was so hungry I could eat a man.. Haha.. So I forgot to take pics of my yummy crab pasta.. Here's my spicy choc ice cream! =)

Chilling....
Day 2:

The best room!
We had our breakfast and off we went.. For our sightseeing tour.. We went to a few heritage places like batik factory, silver and paintings shops.. Pretty boring until we reach ubud monkey forest.. And the rice terraces~
We ended the half day sightseeing and had seafood dinner at jimbaran seaside area.. Yummy, fresh and cheap! Tiring day~

Day 3:
The wedding day!
We headed over to Felicia's villa (which is the wedding venue) early.. I thought our villa was huge.. Until we saw hers.. It's gigantic! Like a palace.. More than 10 times bigger than ours! Haha..
We camwhored nonstop till it's time to doll ourselves up for the wedding! Haha..
Did some curls~ changed into the bridesmaid dress, headband.. And I'm ready for the wedding!
Secretly caught I glimpse of pretty Felicia in her mermaid gown~
With the gorgeous bride!
Felicia 出嫁了! haha..

Touching moments...
Very beautiful moment!
The bridesmaids
PPG
My besties since more than n decade ago =) we're all grown up now.. Haha

Me! Haha.. Taken by Mr Koh..
Special thanks to Mr Koh who took countless beautiful pictures of me and the girls =) haha..
Night ended with me puking (coz I drank too much too quickly, just to get tipsy enough to dance.. Bad move!) when I got back to villa... And I slept like a log =p hahaha..

Day 4, final day..

Bright and early, with no hangover.. Haha.. We headed for a swim! Finally dipped into the pool on our last day at the villa..

We booked the friendly driver that ferried us around for that few days, and asked him to bring us to the nearby uluwatu temple..
Breathtaking
Selfie!

Afternoon was spent around kuta area, before we caught our flight back~ haha.. Short and eventful trip (got into a minor car accident, and got squashed by luggages on the travellator).. I've many stories to tell, but thankfully I only sustained minor bruises and blue blacks~ haha..

Beautiful Bali I'll remember =)

Congrats my dear Blossoms!!
