Singapore Grand Prix... Continued..

After leaving the track on Friday night, I suffered from 'withdrawal symptoms'.. I suddenly missed the the eardrum-bursting f1 car sounds.. So much so that we went back the next day to peek and be near to the event.. HAha!

Wanted to take a picture of the grandstand and track when we were riding along sheares bridge, but was too slow.. This is the most decent pic I took, while on the way there..

Look at the jam behind me.. It was that horrible.. Full of road blocks and closures.. Suddenly City hall area became so inaccessible.. But nevertheless, we arrived soon after!

Saturday night was the time trial race that will determine the starting line-up.. So, after reading so much about Friday's trial race on Saturday morning, I began to recognize some names.. namely, F Alonso, Lewis Hamilton, Rosberg.. Being ignorant about F1 in the past.. these names were like alien names to me.. But on friday night, I caught a glimpse of L Hamilton on the big screen near the grandstand area, pretty near the swissotel... He gave a faint smile at that instant I saw him on screen.. Gosh, he's nice.. haha... Not exactly the most handsome, but he had this humble and cool demeanor.. I told myself: I will root for Hamilton this time around... HAHA! How shallow... But hey! he's only 23.. sucha young man...... Lucky chap! I wanna drive an F1 car too....
But seriously, the race becomes more exciting when you have someone to root for.. Same applies for soccer..

Stayed at home on Sunday night to watch the race on TV... It's really better to stay at home to watch, instead of standing near the track... At least I get to see the racers at different points of the track, instead of just a portion of it if I were to watch the race there... Well, both has its pros and cons..

The Ferrari team shocked me.. Amused me.. and made me realise that anything can happen in a race.. I guess they are just down on luck.. How can such things happen to 2 world class racers from a world class team?.. If you don't know what I am talking about, go google.. HAha...

But seriously, 3 days went past just like that.. So much anticipation and preparation.. All the effort and excitement.. The event went past just like that.. Singapore never looked so beautiful at night.. Streets sparkled under the floodlights, perfect!.. Honestly, I'm proud to say I'm a Singaporean...

Fast and furious....

Went to Clarke Quay with my dept cols after work on Thursday night.. A vv impromptu decision as it was actually planned to bring our ABC Taiwanese col around the 'happening' places in town.. Fast and furiously ran home to eat and change, then met the rest soon after..

Had free beer at brewerkz... courtesy of our acquaintance... It tasted different, well, one of our acquaitances said it was some oktoberfest beer.. I've got no clue.. =P It just tasted smoother.. Aniwae, the acquaitance was someone we got to know from some seminar some time back.. And he happened to be there, so we popped to say hi..

I was quite taken aback when I saw him.. He was actually supposed to be some big shot of his company.. 40-ish.. But beside him were 2 Cheena ladies.. escorts or 'companions' I suppose.. Gosh.. I think he is married already.. His Cheena lady wore gucci belt, big LV bag.. *Big long sigh........* Not because I envy them.. But coz I'm simply disgusted by what I saw.. Why do such people exist? What were they thinking?....

Wells, after my free beer.. We said our goodbyes and headed somewhere else loh.. Some shots along clarke quay.. like some kinda tourists.. HAHA!
My col sneaked out coz her hubby is not in town.. HAha.. She is funny... already a mother of a 6 month old baby girl.. But still sneaked out to play...
This is my col who gets invited to all sorts of parties.. By that I mean Luxury brands party.. He is like the clubbing encyclopedia.. Anything about parties, clubbing, branded goods.. Ask him..
Adjourned to MOS coz out ABC col fly us aeroplane =P We didnt wanna stay late coz there's work the next day.. I lingered around for a while before heading back.. Went back earlier, before 12.. coz Mr Koh was around the area with his friends too.. Such a coincidence =)

My very nice manager.... Same sec sch, same jc, same horoscope, same alot of things.. But diff age.. HAha..

Finally, Friday came! And it was F1 day................. everyone in town is talking about it..

I 'commited suicide' by travelling to city hall... Took a train there to meet Mr Koh for dinner... And to immerse ourselves amongst people (local and foreigners) who either had tix to the race, or were just as curious/silly as us.. HAHA!

I tell ya................. The sounds of the race cars were deafening! and it hauntingly lingers and entraps itself in my brain (at this present moment too..) It was so loud that when the cars zoom past me, the ground vibrated, along with my heart.. GOSH! I thought my heart was bursting out... I swear....

This is me.. With the funny face.. Coz the sounds were so loud I had to block my ears from the majestic roars.. Kinda irritating after while.. HAha..

This is him...

This is us.. In front of some MRT entrance with reflective walls, near Milenia.. How nice right? Like someone is helping us to take a shot..

It was ice cream and drinks after that at Secret Recipe.. Malls were empty when the 'race' began, but became packed soon after the 'race' ended... Friday night went past like that... Good start to the weekends.. Time for bed soon, coz I have work tml! *pouts*

The love for food...

Well............ Basically, I live to eat.. Real food or fake food, I love them all...

Talking about real food, My brother just came back from Japan and bought alot of food back! There is Tokyo banana (A kind of cake), and some exquisite chocolates! Woo....... All the way from Japan!! =) They are so very delicious!

My Brother got me a love charm too! HAha.......... so very sweet of him.... Ah Qi got a 'studies charm', Mum's looked like a 'fortune charm', Dad's was a 'road safety' charm.. HAha...

This is Ah Qi, posing with my love charm... hee!

Talking about fake food, I've always loved exquisitely crafted objects... I love the little mini food made of plastic.. So deliciously fake.. HAha! What's so special about them? Simply because they look so mini and lovely, and the fact that they (Japanese) are able to make it so detailed, draws me to them naturally..
How beautiful!
So........... I've made a pact with myself.. I will get a box of these fake food every month, to please myself.. HAHA! I've just bought a box which costs me $6 (I know its quite exp, but I derive joy from them =P)

This is what I got =)

I went to buy a display case from daiso........... to store the cute lil things.. Haha...

TADAH! I will fill it up slowly.. I feel that the case is a lil too small... It is already more than half filled... I plan to buy a bigger case.................... =)

Let me tell you what is included... We have the cake, a slice cake, 5 plates, 5 forks, 3 party hats, 3 balloons, a box of present, and 2 party blowers.. HOW CUTE!

Next, I need to find a place to display them.............. HAha!

Understanding the 'Women Language'

Fine: This is the word we use at the end of any argument that we feel we are right about but need to shut you up. Never use fine to describe how woman looks. This will cause you to have one of those arguments. (WeiShi says: True)

Five minutes: This is half an hour. It is equivalent to the five minutes that your football game is going to last before you take out the trash, so it's an even trade. (WeiShi says: NA)

Nothing: This means something and you should be on your toes. "Nothing" is usually used to describe the feeling a woman has of wanting to turn you inside out, upside down, and backwards. "Nothing" usually signifies an argument that will last "Five Minutes" and end with the word "Fine". (WeiShi says: Absolutely true! HAha...)

Go Ahead (with raised eyebrows): This is a dare. One that will result in a woman getting upset over "Nothing" and will end with the word "Fine". (WeiShi says: Without a doubt, Yes)

Go Ahead (normal eyebrows): This means, "I give up" or "do what you want because I don't care". You will get a raised eyebrow "Go ahead" in just a few minutes, followed by "Nothing" and "Fine" and she will talk to you in about "Five Minutes" when she cools off. (WeiShi says: Totally agree)

Loud Sigh: This is not actually a word, but is still often a verbal statement very misunderstood by men. A "Loud Sigh" means she thinks you are an idiot at that moment and wonders why she is wasting her time standing here and arguing with you over "Nothing". (WeiShi says: True)

Soft Sigh: Again, not a word, but a verbal statement. "Soft Sighs" are one of the few things that some men actually understand. She is content. Your best bet is to not move or breathe and she will stay content. (WeiShi says: NA)

Oh: This word followed by any statement is trouble. Example; "Oh, let me get that". Or, "Oh, I talked to him about what you were doing last night." If she says "Oh" before a statement, RUN, do not walk, to the nearest exit. She will tell you that she is "Fine" when she is done tossing your clothes out the window, but do not expect her to talk to you for at least 2 days. "Oh" as the lead to a sentence usually signifies that you are caught in a lie. Do not try to lie more to get out of it, or you will get raised eyebrows "Go ahead" followed by acts so inspeakable that we can't bring ourselves to write about them. (WeiShi says: Erm... what again?)

That's Okay: This is one of the most dangerous statements that a woman can say to a man. "That's Okay," means that she wants to think long and hard before paying you retributions for what ever it is that you have done."That's Okay" is often used with the word "Fine" and used in conjunction with a raised eyebrow "Go ahead". At some point in the near future when she has plotted and planned, you are going to be in some mighty big trouble. (WeiShi says: Hahaha...)

Please Do: This is not a statement, it is an offer. A woman is giving you the chance to come up with whatever excuse or reason you have for doing whatever it is that you have done. You have a fair chance to tell the truth, so be careful and you shouldn't get a "That's Okay". (WeiShi says: Ok...)

Thanks: A woman is thanking you. Do not faint; just say you're welcome. (WeiShi says: True)

Thanks a lot: This is much different from "Thanks". A woman will say, "Thanks a lot" when she is really ticked off at you. It signifies that you have hurt her in some callous way, and will be followed by the "Loud Sigh". Be careful not to ask what is wrong after the "Loud Sigh", as she will only tell you "Nothing". (WeiShi says: Huh?)

Ladies, are you nodding your head while reading it? Yes, women can never be understood... HAha... you'll need a lifetime (maybe more?) to understand them..

Happy Sunday dear all............... =)

You know.. Such fridays come on alternate weeks.. =P So, if ever there's a 'TGIF' friday for me, I will usually jump for joy.. totally look fwd to it... HAha.. Vv precious.. U wouldnt understand it unless you try it...

Wells, went for a seminar at IE Singapore in the earlier part of the day.. Went lunch with mgr aft that.. plus a lil sneaky shopping too.. WAHAHA...

Then it was fear that came.. Gg back to office was no joke coz it could only mean fear, fear and more fear.. Don't wish to elaborate more..

Met my 18/03 girls for dinner after work =) Went to this korean restaurant in far east square... Vv Korean.. but food is still ok i guess.. Price is ok too... Name of restaurant: BQ korea
The sides that came along............................... I dont see this in food courts.. Nice! But where is my Ikan Bilis?.................

Something to look forward to...

After so much talk about the US Crisis... Erm, maybe World Crisis.. Life gets pretty gloomy.. I duno if its me, or the crisis now.. But the trip to Sheng Siong after work gave me a pretty big shock! HAha.. I walked out sighing, shaking my head... =P

My gosh.. 'Fruit Plus' increased its price by 50%! HAha.. I know I sound auntie, but seriously I have to think twice when I buy sweets... Comparing prices and see if I really want it after some insane price hike.. HAha... Prices of my favourite titbits have increased too! *pulls hair*

Amidst all the hype about crisis and price hike, something fortunately put a smile on my face =)

Hyun Bin and Song Hye Gyo are collaborating in a new korean drama which will be released in Korea in Nov.. God knows when the drama will reach my black box.. Haha.. But still! I'm excited.. Yeah....................

The ever so suave Hyun Bin.. Please watch Snow Queen if you havent.. you are missing out on a good show! HAha...

The bubbly Song Hye Gyo.. She needs no introduction... HAha.. Go google =P

One is my favorite Korean actor (swoons...), the other is my favorite Korean actress (winks...) Whee~ Can't wait... The title of the drama: The World They Live In.

Happy!!

八月十六。。。

Went to have Zhi Char dinner with Mummy, Daddy and Brother at some kopitiam after work.. It was a lovely dinner on a gloomy Monday.. HAha.. Went Hougang Point to have some bubble tea + shopping at NTUC... Happy tho tired.............................

Daddy said the roundest and brightest moon appears on the 16th day of the lunar 8 month.. HAha.. Being skeptical, I am eager to check out whether what he said was true.. hee! Indeed... The size of the moon scares me a little.. HAha........ It felt like what happened in the movie Bruce Almighty was true.. HAha.. It's so big and bright, it looks horrifyingly near! I can almost imagine myself pulling the moon close to me using some imaginary string..

Aniwae, these pictures were taken along the way to Hougang Point..

It's scaringly huge! Trust me...

That's Daddy and Brother who was fooling around.. Take note of the moon ya. not him =P Big leh.. HAha..
That's Daddy, Mummy and Brother's head in the picture.. Above their heads, is the MOON... I love the way the grey clouds linger around the beautiful white ball.. HAha...

Anyway, though I never had the chance to play with lanterns and candles, or do something very related to the festival, like how I did during the previous years.. I still like Mid-autumn festival.. Happy mooncake festival dear all....................................................

The difference between Cadbury and Royce..

*UPDATES* New pictures added to my Sentosa post.. HAha.. If you are interested, scroll down to the post yea =)

Aniwae, my colleague offered me some chocs on Friday... As he came back from our dept fridge with a small silver bag in his hands, I started to wonder what's inside.. No idea.. He then took out this white squarish box, opened it... Blocks of chocolate were neatly displayed next to each other, forming a brick-like wall.. It was exquisitely sprinkled with some cocoa powder I think.. It was like heaven.......

The chocolate just melts so slowly and nicely inside my mouth.. I so wanna stop it from dissolving.. HAha!

See See See! ROYCE chocolate loh............ I hardly eat such high class/ above average chocs...

Then the few of us in the office started to talk about chocolates.. comparing ourselves to chocs... I said I'm just like the cadbury chocolate.. I'm the heartlander amongst them.. HAha! I eat at hawker centres, shop at hearlander malls, hang around pasar malam..

My colleague, the one who offered me the chocs.. attends LV, Gucci cocktail parties, eats at restaurants, shops at paragon, don't know what pasar malams are.. HAha... Definitely a Royce chocolate..
See the difference.. But nevertheless, I'm proud to be a cadbury chocolate, a heartlander... HAHA!
But seriously, the Royce chocolates are good... hee........................... *Slurp*

Something out of the blue..

Sometimes I enjoy.....

Long jogs.... thinking about nothing at all.. Just me, my jogging attire and my trusty sports shoes.. Utilising just 2 senses: sight and movement(touch)

Staring into blank space.. Sitting down in a crowded bus.. Oblivious to the surroundings.. With just me, my dearest MP3.. Utilising 1 of the senses: hear

Daydreaming (Untilising no sense at all)... Tho it's said that it's a total waste of time, but hey.. To me, daydreaming is like keeping in touch with ur inner self.. I discover more about myself when I daydream.. HAha..

Take note most of the activities I enjoy do not take up more than 2 senses.. Hee!

Alright! Just another mid week post filled with mid week blabbers...

Oh ya.. was surfing Youtube and I found this song... very nice and old school.. Reminds me of my Primary school days.. It was during PSLE period.. Bands like B*witched, Hanson, Taylor, Kavana, Backstreet boys, Spice girls were super duper popular.. Posters, pictures, u name it, i should have it.. =P

This is 'Will you wait for me'... by Kavana.. How sweet~ Enjoy.........

A big dose of happyness and nature =)

Went to bugis for dinner with Mr koh and Huimei on Wednesday night after work.. Went to this grilled/fried fish stall, which is located at the basement level of Parco where all food vendors gather.. Fisherios is the name of the stall, and its signature item is the beer battered fish..

Price of it was 7.90... While Mr Koh had his grilled fish, while Huimei had her breaded fish.. HAha.. all fish.. Picture time!

With Huimei..
Looking at some pictures on my phone..

Then Friday was out with Mr Koh and Shiyou.. Went to our favourite Food republic for the famous hokkien mee.. HAha.. Alot of talking, relaxing, eating.. Not forgetting shamelessly tou-chi-ing samples of mooncake at takashimaya basement.. Wahaha.. It's my hobby.........

Saturday morning was brucnch with Mummy dearest.. =) Lovely! Went to eat my favourite Kimchi soup.. then followed by shopping with mummy.. Always enjoyed shopping and walking around aimlessly with mummy... Why can't everyday be Saturday?

Straight after that, I went home and headed out soon after.. Where to? SENTOSA! HAha.. It was a sudden decision, an impromptu one indeed.. Since the weather looked gorgeous, it seemed like the best idea.. HAha!

*put put* on milo with Mr Koh.. to vivo, then took the monorail to Sentosa..

Waiting for the monorail at Sentosa...

HAha.. alot of sightseeing, alot of walking, alot of nature =) The sun was strong enough to give me a natural blush.. HAha.. Visiting the merlion like tourists, patronising souvenir shops..
The wind was that strong.. I look like a siao char bo... Haha!
Yes, I can also pee like a boy.. hee!
Posing with the Merlion..
Striking resemblance........
Started walking along beaches, oogling at babes (hordes of them) and hunks (had to squint).. Haha.....

I don't know what I was doing...

We walked till the sun set.. and headed for dinner at Sakae Izakaya, which offers a different dining concept compared to other Sakae outlets..

We ordered alot of food... Scroll down and drool... get your tissues ready...

My Chicken Bibinba..

His main dish... Beautifully displayed! Food were more like art pieces.. Alot of effort was put into food presentation...

My stomach almost burst after eating.. It was alot of food! HAha..
Hopping onto the trams, admiring the scenic view of the sea and sky.. Cooling sea breeze, good company and perfect weather.. It was such a luxury! The sky was painted a romantic shade of blue.. Hee.. Well, Sentosa looks different at night..

Then, dark clouds began to hover above our heads.. Faint flashes of lightning and soft thunder slowly crept in.. HAha.. soon, it rained and people quickly flocked to the nearest shelter..

I even had the chance to take a picture with this figure outside some closed ice-cream hut (along the way), before the storm came.. hee!

The rain didnt stop until 1130pm.. How late.. But it didnt dampen our moods =)

Sentosa, I wanna visit you again... HAha.. Maybe with a bunch of good friends, playing some ball games, fooling and picnic-ing on the beach =)
