Aijia's hen's night!

Haha.. It was my second time attending a hen's night party, and till now I've no idea why people named it as such, and why it had to involve drinking and dares.. Both times it was at Clarke Quay~ haha.. And both times, drinking was involved...

The first hen's night celebration I've attended was fanny's, and just recently, Aijia's =) My good friend is getting married soon!

Shall not go into detail about the programme that night~ I could only remember we hopped around clubs, and got Aijia to do some dares such as approaching strangers for some items on them, dance, drinks, etc.. All in the name of clean fun.. Haha.. Kudos to her, I've seen a different side of Aijia that night! =p 酒量很好啊!

With the married and married-to-be
Bunny me!
It's not my hen's night, but they made me wear it.. Haha
Aijia is high already =p

Aijia's wedding is going to happen in a month's time! Haha.. feeling excited for her and guess what, I'm going to be her wedding dinner emcee! Haha.. And I'm going to be speaking in mandarin... And I seriously need to practice my 'speech' soon, so that I don't stutter too much on that night =p haven't been conversing in proper and formal mandarin in a long time..

Looking forward to marry my dear friend off to her beloved fiancé, having a 幸福美满的婚姻... and of coz to see her in her beautiful wedding gown! =)

And soon the little ones will follow, and I can't wait to play with them.. Hee..

Incredible Mummy Suagu!

Source: AOL. By Ruth Doherty, 20 Dec 2011

A giant tortoise at Linton Zoo in Cambridgeshire has given birth to a whopping 45 babies.

Thirty-year-old mum, Kali, an African Spurred or Sulcata Giant Tortoise who weighs 9st 6lbs, gave birth in two clutches during March and April of this year.

The babies are now around three to four inches long, and all came today for a family photo, which, as you can imagine, proved rather difficult.

Zoo spokeswomen Dawny Greenwood told the Daily Mail: "Getting these newly hatched all looking the same way proved to be an impossible task.

"Babies are not normally kept loose in the paddock with the adults, but enjoy the comfort and safety of nice warm vivariums with UV and Infra-red lamps, but we wanted to try to get a nice family portrait."

And there's also a bit of head-scratching about who the lucky father is.

Dawny added: "We are not sure of the dad as we have four males - Louis is pictured as it is a case of 'who's the daddy then?'"

According to the Cambridge News, Sulcatas are the largest mainland species of tortoise in the world, weighing up to 95kg and growing up to 90cm long. They are second only to the Galapagos and Aldabra species as the largest in the world.

The babies won't all be able to stay together, and other zoos across Europe are preparing new homes for the youngsters, while a few will stay at Linton.

Celebrating Qian Ru and Liying's birthday!

Met up with the girls at 49 seats near outram area, for a nice dinner and catch up one evening =)

They serve nice western-Asian fusion food.. And I had their Tom yum pasta! Shioks coz it's tastefully done and pretty spicy! Being a big Tom yum fan, this dish has passed my test =p

Yums!

Always nice to meet them, updating each other on our lives and latest happenings.. And our birthday gifts have become more adventurous.. Haha.. Thanks to Lifang's suggestion, we got them each a massager! Haha.. A very practical gift for the busy and hardworking professionals like us =p haha..

Can't wait to try it out!

Our gifts had evolved over the years, from bags, apparels, facial care, make up, watches, to a massager! I'm now guessing what we will get for each other next time... Tonics? Hahaha..

Happy birthday girlies!
Group shot! =)

Next up.... Seetoh's birthday~~

My birthday hello kitty!

You're mine! =)

Saw this lovely hello kitty wearing a t-shirt with my birthdate by chance while at the mall, and I immediately grabbed it! All thanks to my sisi, who urged me to get it, knowing I'm a huge fan =) I was pretty hesitant in buying it coz it's not exactly cheap.. Haha.. I'm usually a rational spender~

But thankfully I got it! Hee..

While other ladies/girls were busy searching high and low for their birthdate hello kitty (to no avail), mine sat pretty on the shelf, subtly tempting me to bring 'her' home.. Haha

And I did! This pretty little cutie is mine.. Hahaha =p

My Sisi's birthday!

My dearest sisi turned 22 just recently~ we celebrated her birthday at our friendly neighbourhood mall - NEX.. haha.. as requested by the little princess at home, we treated her to a simple ramen dinner..

Her lil gift, other than the hong bao we prepared~
The smurftastic siblings.. Our whatsapp chat group name..
Proud parents of 3 grown-up children..
Cake cutting at home!
Family picture! =)

She'll be heading over to Korea soon for a 6-weeks school exchange programme, and I'm going to miss her so much =p no one to bug me at night for 6 long weeks.. Haha..

While celebrating her being a year wiser, i started to reminisce my younger years, where life was so much simpler and carefree, I can't help but miss those times.. But all the more I want to make sure I lead a more meaningful and fulfilling life ahead.. They say life is too short for regrets, I totally agree~ my motto in life - carpe diem! =)

Happy birthday my little sisi! =)

My latest love!

My latest love is not something pretty, stylish or something most girls (or people) will desire... But I finally got my hands (and legs too =p) on the Vibram five fingers!

Simply put, it's like a pair of toe socks, just that it's made into a pair of wearable shoes.. I'm not an expert in running or barefoot running, but after hearing and reading much about those shoes, and how it's supposed to encourage one to land on the front or middle foot when running, i'm pretty tempted.. Also, it claims to be a natural alternative and replicate being barefoot =)

Sounds sexy and interesting enough for me, and I really can't wait to own a pair! Haha.. After running in cushioned shoes for years, I jump at the thought of being able to experience another form of running/walking..

Finally, on one fateful weekend, I purchased the most expensive pair of shoes that I've ever owned in my life... Introducing Vibram five fingers - SeeYa..

This model is good for road or pavement running
Very happy!

My kind of sleek and sexy! =) and I honestly think they look pretty cute~ haha..

Can't wait to bring them out for a nice walk!

Mr Koh bought himself a pair too, the next day.. Haha.. His is a pair of KSO (keep stuff out)..

And off to Mac Ritchie we went! To bring our five fingers out for a little walk~~

All ready to sweat it out!
Along the scenic boardwalk..
So cute!! They look like socks =p
I was very careful with them, coz I didn't want to dirty them on their first day-out.. Haha

His' looks like a pair of normal shoes..
Lovely weather.. But it was pretty humid..
It was not long before it started to rain cats and dogs... But it was a blessing in disguise, as we were not far from a pavilion to take shelter from the sudden heavy downpour.. We waited for an hour or so, before the skies cleared again~

This time, we decided that it's pretty impossible to keep our five fingers clean and dry anymore.. Coz everywhere would be wet and muddy.. So sad =p

It actually felt good prancing around, without a care =p jumping into puddles go muddy water, messy grounds.. Basically, there's no point in worrying anymore coz the five fingers will get dirty and wet anyway.. I actually felt sad coz I had to dirty them on their first day-out =( but wells, they washable, so I can still give them a good wash when I get home..

Soaked, but surprisingly liberating!
Yay!!
My five fingers passed the ultimate commando test, and survived the challenging hike.. It went through dry and wet grounds, slopes and uneven pebbled tracks.. Good job!
My review on them so far: I'm not an expert, so don't quote me.. haha.. but it felt great! I've never felt so close to the ground before, and having such a strong grip on the stones on the slopes (as compared to wearing normal shoes).. Tried slow running in them for a short while, and felt my calves putting in a little more effort than usual.. But as I'm new to them, I didn't run for long as it's advisable not to run in them before proper conditioning.. I'll bring them for a proper run soon!
Loving my new shoes now, and I can't wait to wear them out again! =)
