Animals spotted in heartlands!!

The weather today was wet and damp... HAha.. But that didnt dampen the moods of some animals.. Today, heartlanders of the 'happening' Ang Mo Kio were greeted by some tall animals.. HAha... Giraffes were spotted loitering around Ang Mo Kio MRT station! Don't believe me... Look below! These tall giraffes caught my eye as I was walking towards the 'tapping card machine'.. hee! My goodness.. Hordes of people gathered around 'them' immediately, as though they were some superstars.. Some people (including me) took out their cameras and started clicking! How often do you see giraffes loitering around MRT stations? HAha..

I was pleasantly amused.. Everyone was! HAha! Lil Jiaxin was so happy, she started jumping..

While enjoying the sight, a random thought came into mind: Poor 'giraffes'.. It's not easy walking on stilts, using both ur hands and legs wor.. What if they fall? How to get up? HAha... *applause* Then I realized the giraffes were here to promote the 'Singapore Arts Festival'.. How cute!

Then after bidding the giraffes goodbye, we went to Junction 8 for some shopping.. =) CROWDED! super uber crowded... must be coz of GSS!

Another 2 animals were spotted once again.. not the giraffes, but Tarantula and the Praying Mantis.. See, I told you animals have invaded the heartlands... =P

This is lil Jiaxin luffing her hearts out.. I duno why.. KIDS! =P HAha...

This is Aunt Beh and Lil Jiaxin.. on the racing machine.. hee... I remembered 18 years ago.. I was the one on her lap.. =) On the once so popular: Daytona... Time sure flies...

I failed...........

Haiz! The result of my TP test: FAILED

Mainly due to my gan chiong-ness and fear... TSk Tsk! Disappointed can..... Seriously! Expensive lesson... Awaiting Test number 2............... *BLEAHZ* Nvm... No point brooding over it le..

On a lighter note, this song recently caught my attention.. Heard it on radio all the time.. and have been dying to know who sang it.. After youtubing it, I found this.. HAha!

David Cook's rendition of 'Always Be My Baby' by Mariah Carey (Yes, I love her loads too! Big fan of hers) is so earnest, so true and so honest.. I can almost feel his sincerity.. Simple and sweet... Woo~ I fell head over heels with his voice =)

Mariah made the song sound catchy and upbeat.. Cheerful with a lil tinge of playfulness... Nice too =)

David Cook is a contestant of American Idol.. (Now I know he was from IDOL =P) I've got no idea before that.. HAha............. *Suagu*

If u ask me which I prefer......... Hmmm............ I prefer David Cook's... (opps!)

Enjoy people.. Good song! Lovely~

I love the chorus.... HAha..................................

You'll always be a part of me

I'm a part of you indefinitely

Girl don't you know you can't escape me

Ooh darling cause you'll always be my baby

And we'll linger on

Time can't erase a feeling this strong

No way you're never gonna shake me

Ooh darling cause you'll always be my baby...........

Driving drives me nuts!

First and foremost... I wanna congratulate Angie baby!! HAha.. She passed her driving test =) so happy for her.. I can almost imagine wat's gonna happen to me next tuesday.. Sweaty palms, trembling left leg (due to clutch), gasping for air, messy hair, shivering.. Goodness! Just hand me my licence and I'll reward you handsomely.. HAha! I don't want to take my TP test.............................

I went to give Angie my support earlier this morning.. HAha! Waited for her to finish her test..

There, I saw Angie and her super fierce-looking tester walking back to the centre.. GOSH! I felt so excited for her... I signalled to her asking how the test went, she gave me a faint smile, I could feel her anxiousness too... The fierce-looking tester looked at me, revealing a wry smile on his face, while still maintaining a serious and formal demeanour.. Argh! How I hate that kind of look...

She gave me a call few moments later... HAha! Good News =) Super duper happy for her wor~ U r a certified driver loh.. Let's go driving at night next time k.. hee!

..... I need a miracle to happen next Tuesday........ *HELP* (Breaking out in cold sweat) I promise to be good driver alright! =P

Went over to Nihon Mura at The Cathay for their high tea buffet.. Woo~ the enoki bacon.. (I memorized the name) tasted heavenly.. Those that will fly u to heaven kinda taste.. HAha.. Succulent and juicy...... PERFECT! A far cry from the ones I had at the IRAS branch of Nihon Mura.. I had 2 sticks of 3.. hee! Satisfied.....................................
Saw this cute poster about customised paddings, while loitering around.. HAha! it's like a sequel to feli's boobs poster in Bangkok.. Interesting! Shows wear the 'extra paddings' are located for diff kinda bras... hee! Chee Koh Peks.. stop srcutinising hor.......

Anyway, side track abit.. To last Sunday...

The food centre at Chinatown has finally re-opened! 3 cheers...... Good food! in a cleaner environment.. HAha.. the food hawkers were shifted to the temp food centre beside outram MRT.. Now, they are back! Welcome~ haha...

Bangkok (Part 3)

Finally.. the finale post for my Bangkok Trip! =)
The main attraction I'm gg to talk about will be the Half day tour - floating market..
Too much to talk about.. Let's just start with the early hours in the morning.. Yes, I overslept.. Such a pig right!! =P HAha.. Ong Heng knocked at our door at 625am.. I rem vividly coz I looked at my hp at that time.. I was like "Sh*t!, I switched off my alarm!" We're late.. With only 5 mins to wash up and change (for Mr Koh and I), I thought to myself.. 'Die, how to meet the tourguide and the rest at 630am?'... HAha!

Mr koh rushed to the toilet imm.. while i packed my bag and putting the essentials in my bag.. HAha! He was fast, got ready in a few mins... Me? I was a lil slower =P but still fast! comparing to my normal washing up time..

HAha.. Ong Heng n Feli went to meet the tourguide, 'Sunny' first.. to buy some time.. Haha.. Received a call from OH when I was in the toilet.. Subsequently received a call from 'Sunny', asked us to hurry.. coz apparently the mini van still needs to pick up other 'tourist' from other hotels... Long story short, we're LATE... paiseh wor..

So within ard 10 mins.. TADAH! we're inside the van liao... =) reading the time on my watch: 6.37! My goodness.. formidable feat!
The van began moving to other hotels.. to pick the rest up.. Mr Koh was feeling vv uncomfortable throughout the whole journey, due to the ride's bumpiness and stuffiness... Thanks to my trusty tiger balm.. managed to survive the trip.. HAha!

Off we went, in a small and stuffy minibus.. =P To the elephant ride place.. where u have to pay to ride on them.. Not included in the 950 Baht we paid.. We were obviously cheated! We basically idled around.. talking.. took pictures... hee!
Next.. We reached the jetty with long long boats, that will bring us to the floating market...

TRAGEDY! I lost my bro’s camera pouch there.. which made me sad for ard 15 mins.. =P I must have dropped it into the river… Nevertheless, the floating market was vv colourful and it brought us away from the shopping =) We had to pay the tix for the boat ard the floating market again.. Cheated again! But the good thing was, the noodles were good! Sedap~

The Duo behind us.. HAha.. So serene right? =)
Classic shot of Sunny.. HAha... 'Conning' us to get tix to get into another short boat ride around the market *tSk Tsk*

The floating market sells alot of things.. Mainly fruits, souvenirs, and hats.. All out to cheat tourists' money.. haha!

Next stop, we were conned to some cobra show.. Haha! Once again.. u need to pay to get in =P so the 4 of us, lingered ard the area.. went to the temples nearby to take pictures, laze ard..
Hot and Sunny... HAha! OH posing with the plantation behind..

Final stop, some souvenir stopover and gem factory.. cheated again!! Haha.. we could have just taken a cab to floating market.. since that’s our main objective.. Toopid ‘sunny’.. *piak* Till today, I can still remember her motherly face.. Saying her trademark "take peecher, take peecher", and her "you like chopping?" I know she meant shopping.. But it's reali hilarious.. can't stop luffing.. hee!

Posing with the sacred elephants...

We ended our grad trip with some arcade games at MBK.. We were bored with shopping with MBK so gg to the arcade in a foreign land was definitely welcoming!

Professional racers spotted at MBK...

Shooters at work!!
As usual, we played the bball game, and the Initial D racing.. the game is shorter leh! cheat my money.. HAha! I bet we are the only tourists playing in the arcade loh.. HAha..

Next, a Japanese buffet which costs 219 Baht ($9.52) Cheap cheap cheap… We ate like scavengers.. HAha! Even the ang mohs beside us were looking at us.. We sure can eat! HAha… look at the amt of prawns gorged down by us.. Pretty ba! Prawn shell display never looked this creative.. =P
It was a hot and steamy affair.. HAha!
The way to the airport =)
Reached Singapore loh! Waiting to collect our luggages..........

I still love my Changi Airport! =)
Special mention to the mangoes in Bangkok! They are sweet... juicy.... vv juicy!! but not very fragrant tho.. But still!! the price is cheap! i bought 3 big mangoes for like 79 baht ($3.43).. hee!
Another highlight of the trip is the LOOT i managed to kapo from the hotel.. WAHAHA! look~Cheapo right? Haha... this is only 2 days worth... I forgot to take the first 2 nights' supplies loh.. =P

Bangkok Trip ended just like that... So fast =P I'm back to reality.. But i'm glad that I had a reali good time shopping, eating, laughing, playing.. hee! Happy and joyful! =) Special thanks to Mr Koh.. Accompanying and taking care of me throughout the trip.. I know shopping is boring.. hee! Enjoy luffing, eating, cam-whoring and being siao char bos with Feli.. And had a great time eating alot of PORK in Bangkok.. as recommended by Ong Heng (Pork Specialist)..
I look forward to another vacation/getaway overseas... HAha! Till then... Bye bye Bangkok! =)
