My first attempt at chawanmushi

Fairly easy to prepare, and am pleasantly surprised at how delicious it tasted.. Haha! =)

Mine only had mushroom slices and cut crab sticks inside, but it's wonderfully smooth and velvety... Yummy enough for me to finish the whole big bowl of it, all by myself =) Protein-overdose!

I don't know why it has 2 names.. Haha! Doesn't matter~ coz it takes beautiful pictures and it just takes my breath away! =)

Russian Dolls

I've not been to Russia, haven't tried Russian food and neither am I a fan of the Russian culture..

But strange enough, I have this peculiar and unexplainable liking for Russian Dolls! =)

I love how the wooden dolls, of decreasing sizes are placed one inside the other.. Opening them up layer by layer, is enough to keep me entertained for minutes.. Haha!

It's such a joy to 'unwrap' the layers, and to lay the dolls of different sizes nicely beside one another =) every layer is a surprise! And sometimes I secretly wish that I can go on unwrapping forever =p haha.. I wish~

The Good Friday Long Weekend!

I love long weekends~ how I can slp and wake up late, laze and roll about on my cosy little bed until it's time for lunch.. Haha! I love leading a bummer's life once in a while..

And during the recent LWE, it was eventful, fun and colourful =) of course that includes good food too! Life is never complete, without being able to indulge in delicious food~

I got to meet up with good friends for a simple picnic at the botanic gardens, visited the discovery centre like a school student where we watched free movies and I got to fire a pistol! (thanks to Mr Koh for being a gd soldier) And last but not least.. Eat my favourite Lai Lai and Saboten... Yay! =) I love roaming around my little red dot..

I seriously don't mind spending my days like that for a month =p haha..

April birthday babies..

April seems to be a hot month for birthdays =p I realised there are many April babies around me!

Met up with my JC girlies to celebrate Liying and Qian ru's birthday!

This time rd.. It's at Arbite (located at serangoon gardens) pretty much like wild honey, jones the grocer etc, which serve all day breakfast.. Of course being a breakfast fan, I ordered their signature breakfast set!

Generous and colourful servings of meat, veges and egg! Yummy~
And the gd thing is, the main courses cost lesser than the above-mentioned restaurants in town.. Haha! =)

Night was filled with girlie chats, abit of reminiscing the past and much abt each others' future plans.. Glad we still make it a pt to meet up often and also to celebrate our birthdays! (gd thing our bdaes are well spread throughout the year =p)

Happy 21st Birthday Dearest Sisi!

Finally, all 3 little pigs at the Lim's farm has reached adulthood =p haha!

It's my dearest Little Sisi's (affectionately known by me) 21st birthday! =)

Took leave on that day to bring her out for a little shopping and dinner treat with mummy and daddy at Ion~

Shoe shopping for us (where i bought a sexy snake skin flats.. Hohoho!) followed by a yummy and scrumptious dinner at the HK cafe!

Headed back home at night for the cake cutting and cam whoring sessions.. Haha! =)

Happy birthday Sisi! A new chapter awaits~~ how exciting.. I'm starting to miss my younger days =p

My first concert!

Finally attended my first concert after 26 years~ this is pretty embarrassing =p but nevertheless, better late than never! Surprisingly, it's not Jay chou's concert that I went to =p

The cranberries! The band whose songs I grew up listening to.. Accompanied me during my schooling days, exam mugging periods, long journeys to school, etc..

Their songs are everywhere~ Dreams, zombie, linger, promises, ode to my family.. Numerous songs that I love! I went for the concert without memorising their song lyrics.. Haha.. And I was very looking forward to it coz I know they will not disappoint!

The crowd was mainly made up of adults, that's understandable.. But that also meant that most would be sitting down quietly instead of being more energetic (unlike us)..

I went to the concert with Mr Koh, my siblings and Jiayi.. And we enjoyed ourselves thoroughly! Armed with colourful light sticks, we were determined to bring some colours and life to the concert =)

Though the lead singer, Dolores was not as engaging as other young pop singers during concerts, she was pitch perfect and sounded even better than on CD.. And I'm beginning to like this song 'Daffodil Lement' more~ haha..

The concert was short, but worth every cent spent.. Oh ya, I fell off my seat (and got a big bruise) during the 4th song, it's embarrassing =p

Big Fish!

We finally caught our first big fish! =) at our usual haunt, Haibin at punggol promenade..

Kudos to Mr Koh.. Who fought a fierce and courageous battle with the Patin fish~ struggled for a few minutes before the big fish was finally scooped out of the pond! Haha.. It was indeed - an act of valor~

Weighing at least 3kg, we lugged it back home proudly (or rather Mr Koh brought it home and prepared it for cooking the next day)

Mr Koh's mum cooked the fish in Sweet and sour Assam and also steamed a portion of it in fermented bean paste with loads of ginger.. Yummy~

Being part of the catching, processing, cooking and finally eating it, had never been so satisfying~ =) haha!
