We bought tix to watch a 40 mins Grand Canyon Documentary at the Omni-Theatre.. We got tix for the 6pm show =) So, we went around the Science Centre.. I seriously don't remember much about Science Centre, and the faintest memory I had of the centre was the excursion trip to the omni theatre when I was in Primary School... HAha! that was like a decade ago.. Now, Science Centre has evolved into a fun place for both the young and old..
Our tix! =)
So, being the Suagu... Mr Koh (the tourguide) brought me (the vv suagu visitor) around and I went around playing with the different educational 'stations' in the mini park near the entrance =) Each station has an object/equipment that can perform MAGIC!.. HAha.. For example, you can weigh urself, just by using just a simple plank with markings on it, and a weight.. Balancing law.. =)
Please don't scrutinize... HAha...
There was another amazing object which totally amazed me.. There is this satalite look-a-like dish that made use correct/accurate positioning, to transmit sound waves to another similar dish which is situated like ard 20 metres away.. I wanted to fiddle with it longer de, but I reckoned I should behave my age and let the kids play instead.. hee!
Wow! The power of science and physics...
I guess I'm so easily amused coz I think I often overlook such simple science in life.. I'm too reliant on IT.. HAha... Have u actually forgotten that you can tell the time simply by using the Sundial? Just by using the Sun... =)
After an hour of loitering around.. The kiasu us.. or rather me.. went to queue to get into the theatre half an hour before the show started.. =P I wanted to get the best seats ma...
When it was time to go inside the theatre, I saw this vv familiar-looking usher..... Guess what! He was my JC schoolmate FIRDOUS.. He recognized me! HAha.. Felicia, Yes! I'm refering to him.. HAha! He looks still as good as before, maybe better.. Your ma lai flame.. hee..................
Inside the theatre...
The show was nice.. showed magnificent scenery.. But hor, I came out feeling vv giddy.. hee! coz I had to roll my eyeballs 360 degrees.. coz the screen is soooo wide and big! my big head feels vv heavy after the show loh.. I'm still giddy now.. HAha!
I tell ya, we're one of the oldest kids in the theatre, if not we're the youngest adults =P
A picture of us inside the theatre... tho photography is not allowed.. HAha!A few pictures taken after the show ended.. this is a martian alien I think... Looks hideous!
And this classic picture... I had to cover it.. Modesty please........... =P HAha...
After the show.. The Science Centre started to look empty as it closes at 6.. families started leaving one by one.. Tho the theatre closes a lil later..
Parting shot.. before we headed out for dinner =) Hungry loh!
Ah Qi told me there's this lil korea town near Upper Bukit Timah.. As featured in the newpaper.. Being a fan of korean food.. We went treasure hunting!
Initially we went to another featured korean bbq restaurant opposite beauty world centre, but found out that it wasnt the restaurant that I was looking for.. The one I wanted to go was a korean food stall called Ming Jia, opened by a native korean.. The full address wasnt given, and the only info we had was that it was inside Bukit Timah Plaza..
Finally! We found the place.......... after searching high and low.. It was quite hidden actually, not prominent at all.. I wondered how it survived.. HAha! It was empty when we reached.. It made me wonder if the food tasted good enough..
The korean chef at work.. With the local mother-in-law (in pink) ? HAha...I was very happy!....
I ordered my kimchi soup ($5.50), while he ordered a meat dish with veg and chicken ($4.50)Poor Mr koh, was forced to eat korean coz of me.. HAha!
My kimchi is pipping hot de k!! =)
The amusing thing was, the moment we made our orders, people started coming in.. and within 5 mins, the shop was packed! The shop owners should give me their VIP card, I think I bring good luck to them loh.. HAha!
The food was good! considering the fact that price was reasonable.. portion was sufficient.. I like my kimchi soup and ikan bilis.. Fragrant.. hee! tho the rice they used was the normal thai rice (minus points)..
I'm satisfied! I love Kimchi =) And Thank you Mr Koh, for walking ard aimlessly with me while searching for Ming Jia.. Hee!
