Haha... As I'm typing this, I'm already at my dearest Changi Airport, waiting to board my plane at 1.50pm =)

The time now is 12.59pm and I'm using the computers they provide to blog.. haha!

Mr Koh is rushing me now.. I'm off!

And I’m off to Taipei again~

In another few days’ time.. I’ll be jetting off to Taipei~ It’s been more than 2 years since I step foot at Taiwan =) woohoooo~

I’m sure many things have changed.. Buildings, landmarks, transport, fashion… Was there with my girl friends then, and it was full of SHOPPING! haha.. 5 days straight.. shop eat shop eat shop and eat… Non-stop… Crazy fun!

This time round, I’m going to do more sightsee-ing and exploring.. Something different~ not saying that I didn’t enjoy the last trip.. haha.. I do enjoy shopping!

There are a few things which I look fwd to this trip… Very cliche and standard, but I really am drooling now.. I want to eat XXXL chicken from Shilin!

Alot of sight-seeing, picture-taking and exploring! Alot of walking too… hahahah!

But sadly, as usual……. It happens during every trip! My ‘da yi ma’ follows me overseas… EVERYTIME! cheapo…. want to go overseas?, pay for your own ticket lah! =P

Soup Restaurant

Went for a good brunch last Sunday at Soup Restaurant.. Not to be mistaken with the already vv famous Soup Spoon.. haha! This restaurant serves chinese food and their Signature dish is the Samsui Ginger Chicken =)

Of coz, we ordered that dish.. haha! and we also ordered some other authentic chinese dishes.. Like the toufu with prawns.. and the sweet potato leaves (some of you might not have tried or heard of it, but FYI, not only does sweet potato tastes good, it’s leaves are just as nice =)) *licks fingers*

The portion is just nice for us… haha!

Look at the chicken~ Woohoo… it’s very good! I’m not a fan of boiled chicken (bai ji), but this is nice and juicy… The ‘ginger+garlic+something else’ dip in the middle is the highlight.. without it, the chicken tastes ‘naked’…

This toufu prawns is nice too… The sauce reminds me of chilli crabs!

Sadly, when the sweet potato leaves dish came, I’ve already kept my camera.. My hands and mouth were too busy to take pictures.. haha!

WeiShi’s Cha Soba

I made Cha Soba for lunch when I was on MC… something light and refreshing when you’re sick…

Not the most appetising for some, and I know it looked hideous.. haha.. It’s pretty simple, I got the noodles and sauce from Daiso! =) Go try it, impress someone without telling them that the ingredients can be gotten right off the shelf.. it’s as simple as ABC…… haha!

But it was good.. I made another portion for Daddy too~ He said it was nice! and that was good enough… hee! at least he finished everything……..

Toys, Games and Comic Convention

Was at Suntec few weeks back, and it was my 2nd toys convention… It was a Friday night, and Mr Koh and I went with the weekend mood… hahaha~ It’s wonderful knowing that you don’t have to go back office during the weekends…

This year’s exhibition was a little different compared to the previous one… There seems to be lesser people dressed in outrageous cosplay costumes.. haha! In fact, I don’t recall seeing any at the exhibition.. Oh ya, saw some storm troopers though.. But they don’t belong to the cosplay clan~ =p

As usual, there will be a booth for the big head dolls.. Don’t know what they are called.. but it didn’t bother me.. Just wanted to take a picture with it =)

TOKIDOKI was there too! It participated in the last convention.. But Simone Legno (the artist) didn’t come that night.. He came during the previous convention and gave a live drawing demo too then! Impressive.. But it was sadly missed this year =P

As we walked, we saw this vv ‘dare’ poster… Very impactful, not because of the black and white contrast, but coz of the name of the artist.. So original and so local.. Oozes lots of Ah Beng-ness and Ah Seng-ness~ Power!

Makes me wonder how he looks like =P

Went to HK cafe after much loitering… We wanted to lengthen the precious Friday night…

A Night at the Night Safari

On National day, while most people will either stay at home to catch the parade on TV or out somewhere to catch the fireworks display, I was at……. as obvious as it can be, the Night Safari!! =)

Cool…. Awesome! hahaha… A very impromptu decison coz it was decided that very afternoon.. Think it was some promotional stint by STB, all I had to do was to sms something to a designated number.. and I got this sms which admits 4 for free! How cool was that? Of coz… It was only for the first 2009 visitors who showed the sms upon entry =P

And fortunately, we made it just in time to be the first 2009! It was pretty expected coz I guessed most will stay at home to catch the parade on TV.. As we were early, we managed to get the tix soon after… Heard there were some who didnt managed to get it due to overwhelming response later that evening.. haha… See see.. better to be early!

We entered the premises early, and had a good dinner at Bongo Burger located near the entrance (public area).. =) The serve pretty nice pasta!

It was still bright when we had our dinner…

As usual, Mr Koh held his camera high everywhere he went…

Weiting and Huixian =) Huixian looks like she is flexing her muscles… hahaha…

We officially proceeded into the Night Safari after we filled our stomachs….. *excited* It was my first time to the Night Safari……..

The tram waiting area was packed with people…. and the skies slowly grew darker… Uh oh…. haha…

We took more pictures before the skies grew any darker.. haha.. It was a challenge taking nice pictures in the dark lo.. And for your information, no flashes are allowed in the park~

It felt vv different walking in the night.. haha! If you have night blindness, it is likely that you wont be seeing anything.. haha.. Not trying to say that it’s pitch dark inside, but seriously, the lights were only bright enough to light the walkway… haha.. The animals have excellent camouflaging skills too.. so it’s pretty challenging to spot them too…

My dearest C905 had to surrender.. haha.. It had a long rest inside the Night Safari =P

If you have supersonic eyes.. You’ll see a vv cute golden flying squirrel… haha! Don’t bother.. It’s quite impossible.. =P

Yeah yeah! I’ve finally visited the Night Safari….

We went for the night show later that night.. It was the only night show in Night Safari… Unlike the zoo, where there are shows for various animals types.. (sea, land…), there was only one at the Night Safari..

Basically the highlights of the show were all the nocturnal animals.. haha.. Very cool weather, very lively host and a bunch of entertained audience… great show!

That’s how I spent my National Day this year.. No fireworks and all, but a great evening at the Night Safari with a bunch of great pals =)

Going to the Zoo

Been an eventful month.. So many activities and events.. and of course, very caught up with work too!

Too much to do, maybe that’s what they say.. “to maximise and realise your fullest potential”

Anyways, I’ve been in touch with the animals more often than ever nowadays.. haha! Specifically this month…

I went to the ZOO! haha… The last time I’ve been to the zoo was quite some time ago… maybe 4/5 yrs? This time round, I got in free coz of the corporate pass issued by my company… haha.. who hates free stuff ya?

It was a sunny day at the ZOO =) The participants: Mr Koh, Weiting, Huixian and yours truly!

There are far too many animals at the Zoo… haha.. I will post some of the cuter and funnier animals here =)

First up, it’s the Ah Meng (junior).. haha… He/she looks lazy right? spoilt… too much good food and attention.. haha.. no good!

  

Mr Rhino loves his shit.. Yes, your eyes are not lying.. What you are seeing is the real thing.. Its Da Bian! hahaha…

Anyway, I miss my long hair…… It’s much shorter now… but it’s ok~ =P

And fooled around with the artifacts in the zoo… hahaha..

Then we went to the kids area where the water playground is located to visit the lil ponies and horses… =) Though they don’t smell very nice, they are still very adorable.. haha!

 

Oh ya, we spotted dinosaurs at the zoo too! They are fiercer than those from Jurassic Park…. BEWARE~

Soon……. it was time to go home… *Awww*

It was a lovely day at the zoo…………

On my way back, the catchy tune was still ringing in my head….

“we are going to the zoo zoo zoo, how about you you you, you can come too too too, I had just gone to the zoo zoo zoo!”
