Finally, Day 3 has arrived! Day 1 and 2 has been very eventful for us, hence Day 3 was meant to be a more relaxing day~ haha... We woke up later that morning and proceeded to our favourite shopping mall for breakfast =)
Most of them had Mos Burger... haha..
Poor Mummy had the runs that morning, but thankfully recovered soon enough..
*please open your eyes* HAHA!
While I had this very sumptious breakfast! =) Think we could get this at Singapore's taka basement too, but I wanted to try it to see the difference.. haha..
We started walking around the mall after breakfast... but coz it was still pretty early then, shops were pretty much still closed.. but it was a nice change from the crowded shopping malls we see all the time... I enjoy walking around empty malls sometimes.. haha.. gives me a different experience =P
We decided we should not waste the wonderful weather outside.. thus, we proceeded outdoors, to breathe in the fresh cool air.. HAHA! Hong Kong's air quality is not very good.. Air pollution is quite evident there.. you have to breathe it to believe it.. haha..
But but Shatin's air is pretty clean.. Our hotel is located in Shatin, and it's not in the heart of the city.. so we get cleaner air.. haha..
The 3 muskerteers... haha..
Posing with the park outside the mall...
We proceeded back to hotel after some strolling and took the free shuttle to Tsim Sha Tsui~ Our agenda of the day is to conquer Ladies Market and Temple Street... and we expected alot of walking.. haha!
We alighted at Harbourcity shopping mall... apparently it's like Paragon in Singapore.. full of branded goods... authentic ones if you are wondering.. haha.. But they don't appeal to me.. We hurried off to Ladies Market instead.. hee!
We walked along the streets and saw many interesting sights.. We spotted something close to our hearts! haha.. I finally understand what is national pride.. To see our breadtalk in Hong Kong made me feel vv proud to be a Singaporean... =)
We stopped over at toast box for a cup of pipping hot Singaporean coffee... haha!
Very trademark of Hong Kong buildings.. haha.. They all look vv cramped and packed..
The streets started to get crowded as it approaches lunch time... haha.. I've seen this scene in those TVB Hong Kong dramas all the time.. So it was like deja vu for me =P
The cold weather plus alot of walking made us hungry very easily.. haha.. so, we settled for lunch at this pretty famous roasted meat stall.. haha.. I think it is quite famous =)
Yay! I ordered their Char Siew Rice... =)
We walked to Temple street after lunch, but was greeted with empty stalls and streets.. haha.. apparently according to Daddy, the shops at temple street do not open so early.. maybe later afternoon or so?
Posing with the empty Temple Street...
With a change of plans, we decided to proceed to Ladies' Market first... which is just a stone's throw away =)
But first, I had to try their famous dessert chain "许留山" yippeee.... I was craving for it way before I arrived in HK.. coz I heard so much about their desserts.. haha..
Their colourful menu!
They have many franchises all around the island... and this one that I went to was abit small and cramped but the customer turnover was pretty high.. people come and go quickly =)
My choice of dessert? Without hesistation... haha... 杨枝甘露... YUMMY! it definitely lived up to it's name.. haha..
After desserts + resting our legs, we continued the walk to Ladies' Market.. haha... It's like Shilin Night Market to me.. and it's very crowded.. Maybe coz it was a Saturday, but it was realllllllyyyyy crowded! haha..
Colourful place as well.. Look at Daddy's blur look.. haha!
As you can see, I went back empty handed.. haha.. coz I don't like the stallholders there.. Their service quality was beyond description.. haha.. seriously, I don't mean to be critical, but I think there is no service quality to be talked about anyways.. haha.. NONE! so, being disappointed and disgusted... we window shopped throughout.. haha.. Their things are not exactly cheap also! =P
But, for first timers to Hong Kong, it would be an eye-opener to visit this place.. haha... for shopping? well... hmm... shop at bugis street lah! HAHA...
We walked around the vicinity (got lost on a few occassions).. haha.. and soon it was time for dinner!! =)
We've been wanted to try their KFC there coz their advertisements and posters are all so eye-catching.. haha.. and so did we =)
They have this mushroom + gravy + rice.. pretty nice!
This is like campbells chicken soup with rice also.. haha..
My devil's pocket.. haha! Super interesting variation of Singapore's Bandito Pocket =)
With out tummies filled, we walked along the streets and admired the lights along the way... haha... Feeling super satisfied! This will be our last night in HK already.. Time flies and we so hoped that time will stop at that instant =P Don't we all feel the same when we're on vacation? haha..
They had lights hanging over the tree branches along the way.. reminds me of Orchard road.. =P Somehow I think HK and Singapore is very alike.. in many ways.. haha.. but not service =P
This is me, posing with the ice cream van which sells ice cream (obviously) haha! It is called Mr Softee.. no kidding! hahaha.. =P
We continued the walk and guess what we saw?...
I didnt know Mr Koh has a business in HK too! and a sleazy business somemore... haha.. =P
We took the free shuttle back to the hotel...... and it was hotel sweet hotel! =)
Realised I never took a picture with the hotel room.. so here it is.. there are 2 big comfy single beds.. and see the make shift bed in the corner? HAHA! That's my little den for the 3 nights.. =)
Not wanting to waste the night away... We ventured to our favourite shopping mall again.. HAHA! to shop shop around.. =) Honestly, I was feeling a lil sad then, coz we're flying back to Singapore soon, and it also meant that the trip is ending... *sobz*
Nevertheless, we went to their Japanese Supermarket.. Yes, it reminds me ot Meidi-ya in Singapore again =P haha...
*open your eyes please* hahaha...
With that, we dragged our tired bodies back to the hotel, and surrendered to our lovely little nest... hahahhaa...
Stay tuned to my last half-day in Hong Kong!.........................
