Hong Kong Trip - Day 1

The highly anticipated Family Hong Kong trip had sadly passed... with the blink of an eye =( months of planning for 3.5 days of fabulous fun~

I've enjoyed myself so much....... though tiring, it was a very enjoyable trip for me.. Simply coz it's been a long time since the whole family went overseas together! haha...

I took alot of pictures using our family digicam (which was dad's bdae gift last yr), which made it seem like I'm hogging it 24/7.. haha.. coz everyone was camera shy and not used to my 24/7 trigger-happy behaviour.. =P but they got used to it eventually... haha.. if not where got memories right? my memory fails me, so I need to take pictures to remind me of the trip's events...

Anyway, back to the trip~

It was Day 1 and we're taking the morning flight at 8.15am =) which means we're supposed to reach airport and check in at ard 6.15am... HAHA! which also means, that we have to wake up at ard 5am.. =P the gan chiong spiders at home (not me of coz) naturally couldnt sleep the night before.. HAHA... I can understand why.. but I was too tired the day before that I konked to lalaland soon enough...

So we hailed a cab and off we went, to my favourite place: Changi Airport.. =)

haha.. we checked in our luggages and had a pretty comfortable flight to Hong Kong~

Fast fwd...................

Welcome to Hong Kong! =) hahahhaa... without further ado, we picked up our luggages and took the coach to our hotel - Royal Park Hotel... we had to fill our stomachs.. We walked across our hotel and went to a nearby eatery..

I had this.. pretty unique pork sliced thick mee hoon soup.. haha! and it was super delicious on a cold cold day.. temperature check: 12 degrees.. great! =)

Mum's order....... one of the most expensive dish the restaurant serves...

Our first meal in Hong Kong.. side track, I think I look more like my dad hor? haha..

Our hotel.. it's a 5 star hotel and the rooms are pretty spacious and nicely decorated.. I can still remember the sweet scent of the room.... =P

With no time to waste, we hurried to the MTR (yes, it is MTR, not MRT) station.. coz we are heading to the peak! =) It reminds me of my recent trip to Taipei coz it's pretty free and easy and we had to rely quite a bit on public transport to get to our destinations.. hahhaa...

their lines are so complicated....

We changed a few lines.. and we finally reached Central.......... Supposedly it's their CBD, where all the financial banks gather.. akin to our raffles place...

We then went around to find the bustop to board the bus that will bring us to the tram terminal to board the tram up to THE PEAK! what a mouthful~ =P hahha..

My parents posing with the central pier.. looks pretty 70's right? Quite a contrast from the tall and modern buildings beside and opposite the pier...

We walked quite abit before we finally found the small bustop.. HAHA!

and it started to drizzle.. temperature dropped again... *brrrr*

Pretty nice bus interior ya?

We reached the tram station and bought our tickets for the tram ride at the wax museum at the peak =) quite pricey, but since we've never been there before, it's all worth it! hahhaa...

*too too* nope, the tram don't give out such sounds.. hahaha...

The peak was surprisingly developed.. it was like a shopping mall right at the top.. Before I actually set foot on the peak, I thought it was simply a nature attraction, open-air and windy.. that's all.. It was pretty commercialised.. This shot was taken from the inside of the shopping mall (few stories high.. has restaurants and shopping too!)

It was windy, cold and BRRR.........

And we conveniently covered the spectacular view... HAHA!

Enough of the cold........ we went indoors and headed to the wax museum~ =)

I duno who she is... seriously.. nicole kidman arh?

And I kissed my Jay chou~ *muack*

Mummy and I felt quite comfy in his big arms.. hahaha...

CHANGE! =P

I should watch my hand... hahaha.. respect Mr Deng please...

Singapore's pride~

The world's saviour gone crazy~ or maybe he did some digital perm to his tresses... HAHA!

I really don't like the one in white =P haha...

Ah qi's fave... and she would have gone gaga over gaga if gaga was there too! =P

We are all sisters... hahaha... I think ah qi and I look better though =P

Blur! haha.. but you get what we're trying to shoot.. look at the city lights! =)

A little blur again... But yes, it was very cold and windy.. and my jacket is not vv thick you know.. HAHA! I underestimated the cold =P

We took alot of pictures that day~ and I've picked only a small fraction of them to showcase =P haha.. enough to trigger many happy memories as I type away~ Anyway, we made our way downhill as stomachs were growling.. and it's time for dinner.. it was pretty late, think it was ard 9? and we were in search of food again =)

Their typical MTR stn.. and I guess it was pretty empty as it was a work day and most of the office workers would have gone home by then... hence, the empty stn...

This was my dinner on my first night! =) Wan ton noodles~ and mama mia.. the wan tons are full of prawns... literally a prawn dumpling! hahaha........ good~ =)

We were very tired after dinner and we decided to head back to the hotel as we have a full day of activities lined up for Day 2.. and Day 2 will start at 7am as it was a city day tour included in the tour package..

Stay tuned for Day 2 =)
