2nd visit to Haw Par Villa..

Wah! This post is super out-dated.. HAha! was supposed to write about this 2nd visit to Haw Par last week before I start work, but I was overwhelmed by the activities in that week...

See how back-dated I am? HAha... So here goes!

It was the usual Sunday brunch! We went back to the Haw Par Villa.. Specially to visit the 10 courts of hell.. =) Sounds scary? HAha..

It was my treat coz I found a job.. So Daddy drove Ah Qi, Brother and I there after the usual brunch... It was highly anticipated coz it's been a long time since we stepped foot inside... woo~

Saw this near the entrance of this attraction.. Things looked more diff inside compared to the public area... I still rem seeing figures like these in horror movies in the past that liked/tried to depict hell.. You know these movies had created such an impression on me, when I was just a lil girl, that I can still remember the how the figures looked vividly.. Kids really should not watch too much ancient horror movies.. HAha..

We went out of the 10 courts of hell, and proceeded to tour the public area again, tho we had just visited Haw Par Villa a week ago.. But wells, it's the company that matters.. HAha..

Bye Bye bumming.. Hello work...

In less than 12 hours time, I will be a working adult...... How time flies! I've finally said goodbye to school officially, obtained my hard-earned driving licence, and now I'm going to start work..

This is a picture of company that I will be working in, as a biz devt exec... A printing company somewhere near kallang.. pretty near my place... Wells... So much so much I will miss... But let's just look forward.. Time to grow up loh...

Qualified Driver.. Finally...........

Picture of me and my temp licence over at punggol beach.. HAha! A day after my test.. Coz the counter at ssdc had already closed when I wanted to go make my temp licence.. I had to go back the next day.. =P

I shall make do with this piece of pp that cost me $50... Tsk tsk.. Paper prices have gone up!

Good News!! I've finally PASSED my driving test........... Whee~~~ HAha! I passed at my Second attempt.. I was sooooooo happy! Seriously, the feeling was beyond description.. It was definitely hard earned..

The story..........

My warm up session was at 335... Taken by an instructor who has never taken me before.. HAha! Chinese man... Who gave me alot of advice and encouragement.. "This test is not abt knowing how to drive.. You know how to drive already.. It's all about knowing how to remain calm and relaxed.. Coz being jittery and fearful abt it would not do any good" Words of wisdom.. HAha......... "Tell urself that you want that licence vv badly, and you must get it.. Being scared is useless, it will only affect your confidence..."

His words left such a deep impression on me.. morale booster.. I would have to spend another 400 plus on the next test, should I fail this one.. He also told me that there's this indian tester who looks fierce, but is actually quite nice.. HAha! I prayed hard, hoping to get him for my test... So, I went alone, waited alone in the waiting area after the warm up.. It was deja vu.. The 20 mins of waiting was horrible... I still remembered what happened on my first test.. HAha..

So, as the clock ticks nearer to 430, I saw a group of testers coming out of their office, I saw the Indian tester.. And I heard him say, "Lim WeiSheeeee"........ I was so happy can! HAha.. But still nervous..

So so, proceeded down to my car, started the engine and off I went.. HAha! there was slight drizzle.. but that made it more exciting =P

I got route 4... a route I seldom take.. But nvm... circuit was fine.. except for vertical parking which I know I was vv near to the right poles.. but din wanna take the risk, I remained still, refusing to do some corrective adjusting, just in case I knock some poles down.. hee!

The tester went out of the car to check if I've strike the kerb in any case... tsk tsk! dun trust me...... HAha!

Den it was off to the roads.. Peaceful n serene.. =) I drove back to SSDC, feeling relieved coz I know I had a high chance of passing.. Coz he nv touched his mini laptop very often.. hee! And I never see the word 'FAILED' on his screen.................... excited to hear him tell me that I've passed...

Led to his office, where I stood stiffly... Showed me my result slips... 10 demerit points! whee....... He vv bad, nv tell me I passed, just tell me my mistakes.. I had to ask him at the end "So, I passed right?" HAha...

He never answered my question directly, asked me to watch video and do my licence later.. HAHA! Thankew......................... jubilant! Finally, I can say bye bye to the centre... =)


Off I went, to meet seetoh at J8... We've been wanting to go shopping together but didnt had the time to do so... It was shopping night for me... =)

Bought a skirt from BYSI, and a top from DANO... HAha............ happy! A reward to myself =) I've never felt so relieved before... It's been 7 months since I've started learning driving.. Time flies and I will definitely miss the 'smell' of ssdc... hee =P

Convocation

Finally! I've graduated... After so many years of schooling.. CHIJ- Our Lady of Good Counsel, Cedar Girls (Where I met my dearest PPG: Felicia and Shiyou, Fanny, Aijia and Angie), Anderson Junior College (My lovely 18/03 girls clique: dearest seetoh, qian ru, lifang, liying and huijun), and finally Nanyang Technological University - NBS (Where I met fabulous ppl, too much to mention... HAha! most importantly my team DRIFT - the best pjt mates.. Many great pals seriously, and last but not least Mr Koh... =)

I'm glad my educational journey has come to an end.. no plans to further my studies as yet tho.. HAha! Apprehensvie? Yes... Anticipation? Maybe.. Alot on my mind, alot to sort out.. Alot of worries, alot of fears... from every facet of my life... I will miss spending quality time with my folks.. I shall just take one step at a time.. =)

Started with daddy driving mum and I to NTU.. I was on the dot.. seriously.. HAha.. like a lost ant =P Scrambled to meet Mr Koh and Feli.. Thanks girl.. She put the gown on for me.. While daddy and mummy went to park the car.. They almost got lost.. HAha!

Then after my folks went into the auditorium, I slowly made my way in too... =)

It was a lively event.. with alot of waiting while I sat stiffly.. HAha.. Watching frens getting up on stage one by one was very heartwarming! Graduate lo..................

Daddy was the enthu one.. With his antique camera which uses traditonal film, he went ard snapping pics for me.. Thankew so so much! We used more than a roll of film.. HAha...

Night Festival

Went over to find my lil Jiaxin on Saturday afternoon........ She came back from her China trip lo! Missed her so so much.. HAHa......... She welcomed me with the sweetest greeting.. "WeiShi Zeh Zeh, wo xiang ni orh"........ Hee! and then show off her new cornetto mini ice creams.. before offering me one.. HAha..

Went to meet Mr Koh in the evening for dinner.. A fun filled one! HAha..... Was at bugis for dinner, then went over to NLB, hoping to catch a glimpse of the fireworks display.. coz it was pretty near to marina, so we thot it is the best place to catch the display.. and it was already nearing 8pm.. We would miss it if we were to venture further, to get a better view.. HAha.. So NLB was the next best alternative =)

It was a pretty funny sight, to see ppl scrambling to the windows as quickly and as quietly as possible, when loud bangs were heard (Indicating the start of the fireworks display).. HAha!

It was really hilarious.. It was such a happy/lively event.. But ppl had to stay quiet in the library.. No woos or wows! HAha... Just see, no talk =P

Aniwae, Mr Koh and I quickened our steps when we heard the bangs, but were late.. HAha.. We only managed to see a few flashes coz it was hard to find a good and clear spot, overlooking marina bay in such a short time... The display ended when we found a good spot in the library =P

It was pretty 'sayang' to hear loud bangs but not being able to see anything, but books.. HAha... I can only imagine seeing the display.. Thinking that the display had ended, we began loitering ard.. HAha! who knows 5 mins later, we heard bangs again... Too late!! HAha.......... we have already left the good spot..

But it's ok! We will be at fullerton next Saturday ard this time too.. coz we'll be having our convo dinner there.. I'm sure we'll have the best view then........ Excited!! =)

For the later part of the evening, we headed over to PS area.. Coz i read from the pps that there's gonna be a night performance outside national museum.. A dance performance, where dancers from Italy will dance 'in the air'.. Sounds pretty nice...

Legs were tired and sore, so after lazing around at Mac Donald's, we made our way to the national museum.. It was vvvv packed! HAha.. Singaporeans do read the papers you know =P HAha......

We were early, so decided to visit the national museum first, as the performance will only start at 1130pm..
This was how the big big red/pink statue of David Goliath greeted us... =P

Shock! and laughter soon followed... People are shallow u noe.. HAha!

Went ard visiting the diff galleries.. It reminded me of the excursion trips in Primary School... HAha!

We slowly made our way to the performance venue.. we found a nice spot near SMU grass patch and soon, the performance started.. We were standing on the grass, and it felt funny seeing my heels gradually sink into the soft ground.. ewww.... but who cares! HAha...
