Night at the museum~

It was an evening at the National Museum again.. haha.. Read that there was free entry into the Museum during the cny period, so went there last Friday after work.. Was secretly hoping that the much talked about Mummies (from egypt) exhibition was free for entry too.. HAHA! but I know it's highly impossible since I've seen posters of the exhibition, stating the ticket price.. haha.. =P

But thankfully, there was another exhibition that was open to public =) haha.. It's called 'The Bag' which showcases paper/plastic carriers used in the olden times.. haha.. maybe during the 60's to 80's? Some of them I've never seen before, but they also have some traditional ones which I still see every now and then.. (e.g. the traditional mooncake paper carrier)

Abit about the history before we examine the exhibits.. haha..

As I was a pure history student, I was naturally intrigued by the wonders and stories behind every artefact =P (I'm seriously joking... ) haha... But honestly, some museum 'trekking' is a good change from all the shopping.. haha..

Can you see the cold storage paper carrier used in the past? haha.. Interesting!

I must start to keep all the paper carriers I have now.. they might be priceless 20 yrs later.. haha..

Mr Koh with the carriers.. =)

Biscuit carriers.. haha..

I've got no idea what this shop sells.. maybe they sell clothes, accessories or maybe things related to female vanity.. =P

Haha.. we didnt last very long in the museum.. sadly.. but it was nice walking around an empty museum on a Friday night, after a week of hard work...

We trotted into the heart of Orchard Road and chanced upon the rooftop garden of Orchard Central =) haha.. didnt know that OC has so many levels.. and there are actually quite a number of restaurants at the top.. haha..

The view is especially alluring at night.. With the cool breeze blowing at our faces (minus the grease and smoke from the restaurant kitchens), it was pretty nice =)

And we posed with some colourful statues and figurines on the rooftop =) Do visit the rooftop if you are around OC.. haha..

So quickly, the cny week is almost over! boohoo..........
