Goodbye 2008~

So fast, the year is coming to an end.. In less than 8 hours, when the clock strikes 12.. A new year will be ushered in..... how time flies~ Gosh! I'm 23 next year....

Before I welcome the new year, I have to say that the year 2008 has been such an eventful year for me....

In the year 2008, I......
watched the fireworks on NYE at Marina
saw the transformation in NTU's Canteen A
made some norwegian friends from school
graduated from school, finally~
started working full-time
obtained my Class 3 driving licence
went to Bangkok for Graduation Trip (awesome!)
saw a mazda rx8 crashed before my eyes
drove daddy, mummy and ah qi back home
started contributing to family allowance
Saw and heard real F1 cars right before my eyes
cycled at Pulau Ubin
went to Mac Ritchie HSBC Treetop walk
completed my FIRST Big Walk (marina barrage)
went to Mount Faber Jewel Box
had a bbq on the grass on ECP (minimalist bbq)
squeezed with hei hei shu shus and ah tiongs at orchard road on xmas eve
celebrated my family and loved ones' birthday
celebrated my best friends birthdays
continued jogging religiously
have grown a little wiser
have grown a little older
have grown a little nicer
have grown a little cuter
have grown a little sweeter (as you can see, I'm starting to blabber)
and finally, last but no least, got together with dearest Mr. Koh.........

So, I'm here to wish everyone... A Happy 2009! =)

May 2009 be a wonderful year for all of us ya *cheers*

Merry Christmas!

Christmas celebrations started as early as 23rd..... But Christmas mood was felt weeks ago... HAHA! of coz.... (not at my workplace) =P

First up... It was christmas lunch at office... The organising committee decorated the canteen area with balloons and streamers.. I can see the effort, but seriously, the mood wasnt really felt.. reason being office=stress... HAHA!

So, lunch was early that day... 1130.. we got a call and off we went.. down to the oh-so-boring canteen... =P There was a long table of food... Buffet style.. With a wall for us to paste our wishes written on shaped papers... Christmas songs played in the background too.. haha~

There was the usual buffet food.. With 2 log cakes, and few pieces of ham.. NO TURKEY! =P

HAha... As you can see.. it was crowded.. and we had no seats to sit on... So, right after lunch, we cabbed out to parkway parade for shopping~ hee! How anti-social were we... We barely stayed in the canteen for 30 mins.. Just cant stand staying in office.. Had to go out for a breather =)

Went off to raffles city to meet 18/03 for xmas dinner/gathering! It's been so long since we last met.. We dined at shokudo =) and reserved a table for 15.. WOAH! I'm surprised so many turned up......
Even the rare guests like Yuan Zheng and WeiJun appeared...

The next day was the 24th! Christmas eve lo..............

Was feeling pretty stressed that day coz small boss came back from leave... HAha.. and.. everyone I know was having half day/early knock off~ WHY AM I WORKING FULL DAY????

Small Boss bought cupcakes for us... VV sweet................... nice and sinful~

I chose the one with xmas sock... It was too cute to eat! =P My consolation for the day.......

But nvm...... I went to work with a full-day mindset... Peronel was smiling happily was she stepped into office coz she told me there were rumours that there will be half day for us... HAha! I was sooo excited can... The rest of the day was spent guessing whether there will be half day.. haha.. how silly! But seriously, it was a roller coaster ride for Peronel and I.. No mood to work, but still have to stay in office... Finally resigned to fate when the clock showed 4pm... It's almost knock off le.. =P

Finally it was 6! dashed out of office to meet Mr. Koh... Who was sweet enough to fetch me out after work... BUT! It rained................ sian sian.... Cold and wet christmas eve!

We waited for the rain to die off and we *put put* to IKEA Queenstown for dinner... HAHA! It's a long story how we ended up there... Had a warm meal of curry and delicious chicken wings... And we loitered around the area..
Settled at xing wang HK cafe for dessert........... =)

Then after the rained had stopped... We went to Orchard Road to immerse ourselves in the Christmasy mood~ I know what we're in for and Mr. Koh nicely brought me there tho he knew it would be 'hell' ... hee~
It was soooooooooooo.. really soooooo crowded! Orchard was suddenly infested with people that will seldom come to Orchard... The ratio of foreign workers: ah tiongs: Ang mohs: locals is 4:3:1:2.....................
Took some pictures to remember this day... HAHA! being squashed like sardines... =P We didnt venture far though... Must leave this place before 12........ I dun want to be sprayed by those tiong tiongs and hei hei shu shus........... =P

Went back for family gift exchange!!! =)


Dearest daddy made this table for us to place our gifts... HAHA! how creative... Placed my xmas tree from daiso and bought 2 bottles of sparkling juice from sheng siong... =)

The mickey 'toy' figurine in the middle was bought in Japan disneyland 8 years ago... It still lights up and the music is still going strong~ =) It plays xmas songs while it flashes colourful light.. It will always be present during every year's xmas! haha...........

A night-out with colleagues...

Friday night was spent with colleagues after work.......... After a super unmotivated and pressured day at work, it's time to let our hair down...........

Wilson was stopped by the dearest Tiger in our den.. We waited for him at the lobby... Peronel and I started to take pictures.. haha! vv spastic....

Then Wilson smsed 'gimme 10 mins'... We knew it will turn out to be an hour's wait.. We were so right! *argh* Irritating people (not Wilson of coz... haha..) must alwiz spoil our plans.... After waiting for an hour or so at the lobby, we finally set off~ =)

We cabbed to the food centre near harbourfront bus interchange for a quick dinner before moving on to Mount Faber Jewel box!! there was an irritating jam! cab fare was $22!! kallang to vivo only leh.... MADNESS~

We cabbed up to Mount Faber again after dinner... It was a vvvvv long wait wor.. We almost wanted to cancel our reservation and chill at vivocity instead.. haha... But eventually, a cab appeared soon after =)

Welcome to the Jewel Box~ =) I thought it's a vv atas place, but turns out, it's actually quite normal...

But undeniably, the scenery is breath-taking.. esp at night, where you get to see all the dazzling city lights from high above =) It was a windy night too~ HAha....... I feel like i'm overseas... The best thing was, we were given complimentary cable car ride!!! Woohoo~ how cool was that?

I ordered a mocktail.. Cinderella....... Coz I don't feel like getting drunk/high/hot then... haha~ I just wanna enjoy the night. scenery and company =)

We went on to enjoy our cable car ride after that~ It was loads of fun... HAHA! It's been soooooo sooooo long since I had a cable car ride lo........... How fun! HAHA... Like a lil girl.. Wilson is afraid of heights... He was uber funny.... Imagine a big guy staying super still and scared in a cable car hanging in mid air.. letting out occasional screams.. hee! The breeze up there was goood~~~~~~~ soo cooling and relaxing.. makes me wanna go overseas... I wanna go overseas!!

The Eventful Week which.....

.... made me fall sick almost immediately.. HAHA! Out everyday of the week.. Tsk tsk! very hong soh (means like to go out in hokkien =P) In the end.. fell sick again!!!

Better recover soon before all the X'mas feasting begins.. *prays*

Let's start with last Wednesday... Went to find Aunt Beh and Lil JiaXin coz I havent seen them for sucha long time~ haha... Missed them...

Went to find them after work.. Bought lil kueh kueh for Lil JiaXin.. Bought assorted flavours for her and turns out she only likes the strawberry and chocolate ones... haha (I've eaten some of those flavours before I reached their place =P)

She danced and danced.. Made faces and posed for me.. hee~

I forgot what I said, but it made her angry... haha.. The next thing she did was to complain to her 'friends'.. The power rangers poster (-_-)

Then on Thursday... I met up with Angie, Aijia and Fanny...... It was a belated birthday celebration for Aijia~ Happy 22nd my dear~ =)

We went over to the Brewerkz near Indoor Stadium...

and ordered alot of food... hee....had beer samplers.... and.........Some Golden Ale~ Honestly, I don't like the taste of beer... haha~ See how lil beer I asked the waiter to pour for me... They taste awful and bitter =PHAPPY 22nd BIRTHDAY AIJIA~ =)

Late nights and lack of sleep.............. I fell sick~ Warnings were given by my body on Friday.. But I didnt think it would be that serious... I was wrong!! So very wrong...

Woke up on Saturday.. Feeling feverish and cold at the same time.. I knew I'm really sick by then... Felt weak and giddy on my precious workless Saturday........ HMPH! Big sian~ I've made plans for the day already lo~ So..... I spend my Saturday lying on my bed and popping pills for like 80% of my time =(

On Monday, we had a farewell lunch for my colleague, Cheryl... I'll miss her... =P

My long weekend~

My long weekend came and passed so quickly~ Had an awesome shopping spree on Saturday after work! =) Spent alot.. Shant disclose amt.. hee~

Sunday was spent at dearest feli's place steam-boating! Woohoo~ Tom Yam soup base, lots and lots of jin zhen gu and crab stick.. heaven!! =) HAha.......... with the company of lovely friends and dearest Mr. Koh... perfect! Played with feli's dog too.. Named Jojo... The yorkshire terrier that doesnt bite or scratch.. Haha... She is the only dog which I've carried in my entire life =P I personally am vvv scared of dogs *screams*

Monday was a wet wet wet wet day.. HAHA! I had to use 4 wets coz it's really vv wet.. Rained non-stop.. And it was extremely cold *brrrr* HAha.. I spent a lazy Monday at home.. waking up at 11? Haha~ Eat and laze around like a slug.. Washed my truckload of clothes (btw, it's really unwise to wash clothes on a day without sun.. but I really have too much to wash =P) haha!

Bathed my dear suagus.. packed my wardrobe... and and and I decorated my mini X'mas tree! =)
I got this X'mas tree at daiso and decided to decorate it with whatever I can find at home (Pegs, hair clips, single-paired earrings (I lost one side of some pairs.. Now I finally found a chance to use them =P) .. DIY and save money on deco ma~ =P

The result: I'm quite amused and proud of my masterpiece leh... But my family said it looked ugly.. distasteful... =P Wells~ How honest... Nvm......... (Shh... no comments please =P) haha..

Evening was spent with the whole family~ Woohoo~ Finally.. It's been ages since we all gathered to have a proper meal together! =) Vvvv happy~
