All-time favourite comfort food

After long and arduous weeks of discussions, meetings, presentations, staring at the computer screen and battling with my keyboard... Nothing makes me happier and satisfied than my all-time favourite comfort food =)

Mini tic-tac!

Really cute little sweetie that I found at my colleague's desk!

Haha.. This mini tic-tac made me forget all the drama at work immediately, coz it's way tooooo adddorabbbllleeee!!! =)

Please pardon my badly painted nails that's slowly chipping at the sides =p some intern beautician at 海底捞 steamboat restaurant did it for me for free~ so I can't really complain.. Haha

So quickly, another work week is coming to an end.. And January is almost gone! *gasp* it's been a busy, tough, stressful and eventful month at work.. But thankfully I've got a bunch of fun colleagues that never fail to entertain me and make work a little more bearable.. Haha!

The fact that I'm turning 27 this year is really freaking me out.. Goodness..

Teambuilding

At arts science museum and the newly-opened oceanarium, some weeks back =)

Not my first time at the arts science museum, but first time visiting with colleagues.. Haha!

We also went to the newly opened oceanarium at RWS, and it's really quite pretty! Better than what I had expected.. And the underwater world at sentosa actually pales in comparison.. Haha!

I was so mesmerized with all the pretty fishes and corals, and loved the huge and wide viewing gallery where I could just sit down and stare at the fishes for hours.. Watching them swim gracefully in the water~. Really beautiful! =) I shall let the pictures do more of the talking.. I'm going to head back there again once the dolphins are ready for public viewing.. Haha!

2nd painting session

It's our 2nd painting session, on the same piece of art.. Haha.. The one that Mr Koh bought for me as Christmas present~

It's like bringing the 'arteastiq' experience back home.. I have a big space at the living room, my own tea pot with TWG tea bag, tuning in to kiss92 (my current favorite radio station), and slowly paint the afternoon away =)

Anyways, an update: after our second session.. It looks better than our first session, more colours now and the picture is slowly forming!

Excited to see how it will turn out after a few more sessions =)

 

 

Proud finisher of 7.5km

Title of this post is pretty laughable and seriously not something many would be proud about.. Haha.. But to me, it's a personal achievement in 2013! =)

I remembered signing up for some great eastern 10km run in the past, but due to some reasons I didn't turn up at the event =p so honestly I've never ran any distance further than 5km, which is the distance i cover during my usual jogging sessions..

Haha.. So you see my company has a few offices in the past, the main HQ at havelock, and the remaining offices are scattered at tanjong pagar and Kim Seng.. so recently, a new office building has been built at bendemeer so as to house folks from the tanjong pagar and kim seng office and some from HQ (sadly i'm one of them).. And earlier today, my company organized this run called the 'big migrate' to commemorate the shift of many from HQ and other offices to Bendemeer.. Haha.. Long story short, I ran 7.5km all the way from HQ at havelock road, to the Bendemeer.. Haha!

Truly a personal achievement! Not forgetting the rain towards the end of the run... It was a scenic route, passing by the Singapore river, flyer, nicoll highway, indoor stadium, kallang river, and back to Bendemeer.. Haha!

I'm proud that I didn't give up and persevered all the way.. Though it's pretty tough, with all the slopes, steps and strong winds.. The view was nice but most of the time I was busy regulating my breathing, trying to conserve and last the whole run.. Haha.. I finished the run and the total time taken was 50 mins =) a personal feat!

Now my legs are aching as I'm typing this.. But I think it's worth it! Pat on the back for myself.. Hee

明明就

偶像周杰伦又再次发新专辑了！时间过得真快，这已经是他第十二张专辑了。。说真的这十多年一路走来，我觉得偶像都有不断地在唱功，咬字，编曲，旋律，造型，等等进步，而从不因为要跟上潮流而改变自己的风格。。他唱的每一首情歌都让我百听不厌，有时听着听着我也会不自禁的落下眼泪。。

这张新专辑 <十二新作＞我还没购买，但已经在 YouTube ＂偷听＂了他的一首新歌 - 明明就。。这首歌十分动听。。 可能是年纪大了，人身经历也多了，所以现在听歌时，也能够跟深一层的了解一首歌想要表达的意思。。

很高兴这十二年来，有偶像的歌慢慢陪着我度过成长的岁月。。很期待想要立刻把新专辑的歌曲一一听完 =）

New Year's Day~

A simple start to the year..

Actually on second thoughts it wasn't.. I woke up bright and early and headed to Orchard Ion H&M to exchange a jacket I bought there the day before, coz it was many sizes bigger =p blur me didn't check properly before making the purchase... Haha.. I will never wake up this early on a public holiday, but impatient me had to get it changed first thing in the morning coz I was afraid the sizes would run out!

Nevertheless, the day was spent painting.. Painting the DIY painting set that Mr Koh bought me as Christmas gift =)

It's simple.. Just follow the numbers!

Every number corresponds to a specific colour.. Hopefully we can get it done soon~

We spent the afternoon painting and painted 1.5 numbers.. Haha

Met up with Jingyi and Benny at punggol promenade in the evening for a simple dinner and guess what, we prawned again! Haha.. What a way to start the year

Welcoming 2013!

Happy new year to everyone! To those who are still reading my blog or happen to chance upon my humble little online diary.. Haha.. 2012, an eventful one for me indeed.. Never knew time could pass by so quickly.. It seems to have accelerated over the years =p

Nevertheless, we had to say farewell to 2012.. And we did what most people would do, we headed to town, and got lost amongst the throngs of people.. Haha! And of course we treated ourselves to a wonderful movie - les miserables~ I'm not the kind who loves musicals, and I haven't exactly been to one.. But this movie opened my mind to musicals.. People don't talk, they sing! Yes, from every word, to exclamation, sighs, etc... Perfect movie to end the year... And Anne hathaway's "I dreamed a dream" totally blew my mind =)

We had a simple yet super delicious dinner at Ayam penyet ria!

Followed by some shopping and desserts at coffee bean.. Before we decided to head to our usual venue to watch the annual new year fireworks!

We leisurely made our way to marina promenade and settled down at a windy and quiet spot =) enjoying the cool night breeze while patiently waiting for the countdown to start.. We were thoroughly entertained with the songs performed at the floating platform concert~ they sang many songs from the 90's to 00's and got us singing and swaying along =). Making the wait so much more enjoyable..

The new year was ushered in, following the beautiful display of the fireworks that lasted for around 8 minutes.. And I finally took a shot of the fireworks with my instant camera! Wanted to take a nice fireworks instant picture and am glad the one I took didn't look too bad.. Haha!
