Ben & Jerry's Free Cone Day!

Was over at White sands for the Ben & Jerry's Free Cone Day =)

Yippeeee!! Yummy Ice Cream...................

I remembered queueing up for free ice cream last year too.. But was at Suntec tho.. HAha! Flavour then was Strawberry Cheesecake.. Aww... *slurp*

*Put Put* off to White Sands.. hoping that the queue would be short.. Upon reaching, we could see a long queue forming.. Initially, I thought it's quite short.. But it was when I saw the snakey queue hidden behind some pillars and bushes that I realized it's gonna be quite a long wait..

Cam-whoring with moo moo while q-ing.. It's hot =P

But surprisingly, it took us ard 30 mins to get our ice cream.. But guess what, they don't have my favourite flavour.. I wanted Strawberry Cheesecake leh =P

But nvm... I settled for my next favourite: Chunky Monkey!!

There we are.. After much drooling and anticipation.. TADAH!! Happy happy.........

This way to HSBC Treetop Walk...

Thank goodness.. The weather was beautiful! Beautiful Sunday... Bright and sunny.. Blazing sun! But we cannot complain coz it would be disastrous if it was raining.. Imagine muddy trails, slippery slopes... Eww!

Woke up vv early at 8am.. Considering the fact that I usually wake up in the afternoon.. hee! Embarked on our journey into Mac Ritchie.. Filled with determination to reach the Treetop Bridge.. It's like Journey to the West you know.. HAha! Equipped with just the bare essentials.. We started hiking lo..

Thank goodness, the mosquitoes kept away from us.. Nature's beautiful.. Air is fresh! Trees are especially green and sky is clear and gorgeous =) It was a lovely walk on the boardwalk.. It's such a different experience, compared to the same old boring x-country held every year when I was schooling.. HAha! Was full of enthusiasm and anticipation, not knowing what's ahead of us.. We just kept walking..
Soon, we ventured deep into the 'jungle'.. that's when I start to get suku.. HAha! Since there's nothing much to see in the jungle except living trees, dying trees and rotting trees.. upslope, downslope, muddy patches, super dry trail.. You name it, mac ritchie has it.. HAha!

The walk/hike definitely made me perspire, and it made me less guilty of the amount of calories I'd consumed the previous day at popeyes.. HAha! Soon, after walking for some time.. Fatigue started to creep in, and from the signs along the trail, we realized we have already hiked for around 5km.. Impressive wor.. HAha!

We walked past this path which is alongside a golf course, and the funny thing is, it's not fenced.. meaning it's open to anyone.. which makes me wonder why it's left like that.. HAha! Then we passed this place where suagus were spotted =) I've decided to take a picture with them.. It was very hot then leh!
Then we continued our walk again.. It really felt like Journey to the West loh.. we took pictures along the way again.. like filming a documentary.. HAha!

Soon after, we reached this observatory tower which we initially thought was the start of the treetop walk.. But nope.. it wasnt.. Nevertheless, we made our way up the spiral stairway.. It made me vv giddy loh.. There! I've arrived at the top.. I find this picture very ugly, but funny... hee! "Princess of the world" =P

We continued hiking again.. Finally! after walking for another few kms, we finally reached the treetop!.. We did see some families hiking too, so we're not exactly alone... HAha!

Not exactly very high... But still.. it's lovely =) Im immersed in a very very green world, away from the cars and pollution.. Had to take pictures.. We've conquered the treetop bridge!

We got lost coz apparently the map we've gotten from the information booth is not very concise.. Some hikers were equally lost too.. we walked and detoured, while enjoying the scenic view and occasional cool breeze..

We made our way out slowly, not realizing we've spent like 3 plus hr hiking.. My strong legs.. *massage* Haha.. tiring leh..

I zonked out when I reached home.. hee! Healthy living.. *woohoo*

A Bummer's life..

I'm officially labelled a 'bummer' since last wednesday (after 3.30pm).. HAha! after bidding NTU goodbye.. I headed home.. All set to lead my life, like what typical bummers will do.. hee!

My PPG went to party the night away.. And they sure had alot of fun.. HAha! I didnt join them.. Next time ya =)

Thursday

The next day.. I went to feast with Mr Koh, Felicia and Ong Heng.. At nihon mura =) Not as satisfying as my last visit tho.. Food didnt taste as nice now.. Aww.. what happened? Hee... But aniwaes, I still had a great time stuffing myself crazy... Where did my humongous appetite go? My stomach's getting smaller... I could easily eat ard 20 plates previously.. But now, I had to surrender aft 10.. tsk tsk!

Went for a movie after that.. Watched Forbidden Kingdom with them at Cathay.. *Listen up UOB credit/debit card holders.. Just flash your card while purchasing the tix and u'll be entitled to buy the tix at a dirt cheap price of $6.. how great is that?!*

I had a pretty good laugh during the show =) Im not good at giving movie reviews.. But I'll give it 3/5 popcorns.. Simply because it made me laugh (all thanks to Jet Li's funny accent)... HAha! and it's nice/fresh/funny to see Chinese actors/actressses speaking English in a kungfu film.. irony! hee...

I went for my driving lesson at SSDC... and i finally grad lo! HAha.. I have not passed my TP test, but i've managed to complete all the required lessons le... It also means that alot of money had been spent on driving.. what an expensive license.. BUT still! it's worth a mini celebration.. So, I went to AMK hub with shiyou.. and we went over to ah mei cafe to eat the long-awaited roti prata.. Which is actually quite nice leh.. $1.80 for 2 kosong.. reasonable i would say =)

Went to Changi Village with Mr Koh at night for dinner.. HAha! good hawker food.. followed by scenic ride to a place where we can watch aeroplanes fly by.. Beautiful! =)

Saturday

Went to Vivo to find my aunt and the kids... HAha! been a long time.. missed them alot... hee! Apparently, there's a macau travel fair at the top level (where the wading pool is).. Spotted the kids from afar.. So cute!! HAha..

The good thing is, candy floss were given out free.. the thick skinned me definitely cannot give this a miss.. Went to the candy floss man (who is obviously younger than me), and asked for one.. I bet he is laughing inside loh.. "so old (by that I mean, old compared to the kids =P) liao, still eat these kinda things".. HAha..

Destination: Singapore Flyer..

We reached there when the sky was in its most beautiful shade of blue.. Hee... Was amazed to see the long line of cars waiting to get into the car park.. I actually felt sorry for them.. hee! see.. got money also still need to wait for parking lots loh.. We skipped to popeyes for dinner.. The food critique started to comment that the outlet at the airport serves better chicken.. It's a tad too salty for his liking..

There are actually some shops around the Singapore Flyer.. which made it seem like a mini shopping area, with a man-made rainforest embedded in the middle of it.. Nice place i would say.. I shall wait till the hype's over, then I will go try the Flyer.. Tix are priced at $29.50.. Not very cheap, but I guess Singaporeans are pretty rich.. Judging from the hordes of people we see.. queueing up neatly, waiting to get into the Flyer..

Welcome to my World of Suagus....

All my life, I've been in close contact with the green reptiles i affectionately call Suagus.. They are not as cute as the lil hamsters, puppies and kittens.. They don't smell nice like lilies or roses, they cannot meow, purr or chirp like any other animals on this earth.. They don't move as fast as dogs, and they definitely dont eat as much as other home pets.. =P

To me.. they are the most adorable creatures on earth.. totally harmless and innocent.. They may look ugly to some, but to me.. I simply love their green green, hard hard shell... They are so "down to earth", move so slowly, can't even make noise.. Living in their simple world.. I love to shower and feed them.. showering them with TLC (tho Mr Koh commented that their tank is way too small.. I will get them a big tub soon! HAha..) People will definitely choose cute lil things as pets.. But i guess that's what makes me wanna "sayang" them more.. nobody bothers abt them! HAha...

Very Random...

It was a bright and sunny Sunday morning... I was in daddy's car, admiring the beautiful city view, right smack in the middle of the city's busiest business district.. This black black flat flat thing called Lamborghini caught my eye again.. It not only gorged my eye out.. It took my breath away.. Leaving me gasping for air.. "HELP" HAha...

Grabbing daddy by the arm.. I shrieked, "OMG, daddy.. Lambo leh...."

Daddy replied, "I thought I just saw a car driving in reverse........"

HAHA! my goodness... How funny and crappy can daddy get... =P I almost rolled out of the car, gasping for air, coz i laughed too hard...

Had my first paper (this sem) in Nanyang Audi on Thursday.. which is also my last exam paper in the Auditorium le =) I cant believe that I used colour pencils for my pp.. I had to design a package and the colouring part is optional, but since i brought the colour pencils in.. Might as well use them =) So childishly cute loh.. Hor Felicia?

Thankfully, it's over le......... Yippe!!

Mr Koh finished his exams the day I started mine.. Bleahz.... So, we went for a mini celebration after that.. Mainly to stuff ourselves silly.. =) went over to Food for thought.. Somewhere near bugis NLB.. Nice place.. Seetoh and gang brought me there previously =)

As I shopped ard PS with Alicia and Shiyou after that.. Happened to see this.. My goodness!! This is the latest phone in town wor.. It's huge, grey and has big buttons... Hurry down to your nearest mobile phone shops ya! =P While stocks last!

A not-very-blue Monday!

Had my last formal lesson in NTU today =) woke up at a reasonably normal time today coz lesson starts at 10am.. Ever so familiar train and bus rides to school.. But lucky me, I was ferried to the MRT station by Daddy.. Hee!

I walked into class normally, seeing Prof Ian in jeans today! HAha.. SY! stop drooling.. hee... MM showed me our final gp pjt report.. My heart sank when i saw this...

My goodness! The amount of effort put in, the time spent on it.. It couldnt be true.. I was shocked! I swear.. Initial thoughts went like this... "I need a miracle to happen during the exam pp, to pull my grade up to at least a B"....

Then MM showed me this...

CHEY! MM... U got me! U really did.. Haha...........

Then after lesson, we girls proceeded to the new Canteen A =) Beautiful and atas place.. HAha.. So since its the last official day in NTU, we treated ourselves to Sakae Sushi for brunch! =) HAppy! Apparently, Felicia wasnt happy with the service there coz it's quite bad.. and she was constantly trying to make things diff for the "si bak gao" HAha............
