Colours of the Rainbow~

Finally met my dearest Angie after a long long time.. haha~ 1 month? Missed her lots.. and we sure had alot to catch up.. that single evening was simply too short... =P

We had Ramen at Ajisen (Bugis).. And I finally tried the crayfish ramen.. Been wanting to try the Crayfish Ramen since long long time ago, but I'd always end up ordering Tom Yam.. haha~ But this time round, I surrendered... =P

Just look at how small the Crayfish is...... Shell so thick and big, meat so little.. haha.. I'm like eating an overweight prawn... =P Not satisfying at all!... haha.. I should have ordered Tom Yam loh~..

We went to do some shopping as GG5 got sale!! haha... How can I resist clothes from GG5??!!....... If I have money, all my clothes will be from that shop~ *drools* haha... And after an hour of shopping and trying on clothes in that shop, Angie and I didnt get anything.. haha~ I'm amazed at myself... =P

Finally, the Lim family woke up early on Sunday morning to have brunch together =) haha.. Ever since Papa Lim and Mama Lim started the cake shop, we havent really got the chance to brunch as a family on a lovely Sunday morning..

hee! I was really happy.... And so... We drove to Kelantan Lane to eat Bak Kut Teh~ =)

Fast forward to Mid week Wednesday..........

Mr Koh and I went to eat jap food... To feed our weary souls.. haha! Coz I arrived early, I went window shopping as I waited for Mr Koh...

Haha.. that fatal few minutes made me spend money =P Bought a top from a random shop.. and it took me less than 5 mins to make the whole purchase.. 5 mins to spot the top, thinking what I can match it with, ask for a new piece (which they don't have), check the top for defects (if any), then pay... haha... Tsk tsk! In times like this, I should cut down on shopping.. heng the top aint expensive.. haha!

Back to the food... We had some discount voucher, so we gan gan order... hee!

My set: Me with some chicken coated with cheese swimming in soya sauce with bits of mushroom (the main dish)... haha~ then chawanmushi, soft shell crab, miso soup and fruits.. $15...

His set: This is him with his Cha soba, Unagi rice, miso soup and fruits~ Look at that grin.. haha! Can't wait to stuff all that into his stomach =P

It was pretty unmotivating going to my 'cage' everyday.. It's bad when you do things reluctantly.. Spirits were down coz of the economic downturn, and news I read/heard got more depressing each day... Things don't look too good for the near future.. We havent even reached the middle of this crisis.. I foresee more retrenchment, cost cutting, pressure from bosses and never ending meetings... ...

Well well, but do take things slow and appreciate the simple things around you......... I happened to see this beautiful rainbow (wide semi circle) while waiting for my bus after work.. Lovely isnt it? Rainbow after the rain... It brightened up my evening immediately... hee!

Always look on the bright side of life.. Something beautiful will be waiting for you after the rain~ =)

It's Mummy's Birthday~ =)

Feb 20 is dearest Mummy's birthday! HAPPY BIRTHDAY MUMMY~~~
We brought the birthday girl to this chinese/thai restaurant located just outside Buangkok mrt.. We had a la carte buffet! woohoo~ which means we can eat whatever we want... =) Beh Beh yi treated all of us to the dinner~ haha...

We ordered a whole table (not big enough) of food... haha! Eat and eat and eat.... The food was ok, but it was pretty salty i feel, though it adds to the overall taste... haha.. But seriously, the food could be better if it is not as salty...

We had tom yam soup, chilli crabs, vvv small fish =P, noodles, rice, vege dishes... haha.. It was just alot of food................................

Something vvvv funny happened in the middle of the dinner.. Which got me laughing so loudly, and till today, I can still laugh to myself whenever I'm reminded about it.. =P HAHA~ My mummy is sooo cute =P

It was a sumptious and happy dinner... Full of food, jokes, laughter, warmth and love~ =) hee! I'm glad everyone had a wonderful dinner... and thank you Beh Beh Yi, for the treat... haha~

A lonely day in office~

Today I'm alone in office.. Everyone is either on leave/mc/overseas... Working very hard all the way from 9am to 7pm.. This is really insane.. I ran up and down to get things done.. Duno why I'm so busy like a bee when others (even mgrs can stroll ard).. Not that 7pm is vv late, it's just that I had duno how many meetings with my small boss, discussing my Business Proposal (in which I only had 3-4 days to do up, it was really terrifying, the amount of work to be done, it's a big pjt.. to be submitted to the bosses)... Not that I only have this proposal on hand.. I have really alot of things to do..... Sometimes I wish that I have more hands and more brains.. I think I'm so wonderful =P

Big boss is chasing small boss, small boss chase me.. Do you ever feel like vomitting after you've worked too hard, squeezed all your brain juices out.. leaving your poor brained like a soaked sponge.. I'm not joking leh... haha~ I don't even have time to go to the toilet, let alone go pantry to take water.. That's what I felt today.. By 7, I think I had enough, I needa break~ for my eyes and brains.. Last to leave (later than my boss).. My consolation.. A kueh Lapis from Bengawan Solo.. HAHA~

Today I got a shock of my life.. While talking to my small boss (actually he was complaining), I heard him giving some names to some big shots he don't like (finally, he is human afterall).. Haha~ He called them "那两个老女人"... And I laughed vv loudly in front of him.. HAHA~ I do not know if this is a trap.. He might be sounding me out, trying to see if I don't like them as well.. A SPY??? *gasp* haha.......

Well, I'm not complaining........ =P Just commenting... It's been almost 7 months *pat on my back* It's a commendable acheivement.. It is.....

I was pretty alone the whole day.. Ocassional calls from colleagues requesting for things.. Some surprise visits from sales colleagues (coz they know I'm alone) =P........ Haha~ That's not all, yesterday I was told I shudnt cut short hair coz my face is round =P today another colleague commented that I look like a doll.. hmph! nvm...............

Yes, I'm going to do work now.. Brought work home to do... *help*

Date with Mr. Valentine

Valentine's day was spent with my date, Mr. Koh.... Highlight of the day was dinner at this ulu ulu korean restaurant located at Telok Ayer, after loitering around shopping malls at raffles city/Marina Square.. Shopping malls were infested with people.. couples walking around, gfs hugging bouquets of flowers..

Talking about flowers... Bouquets I saw that day come in different sizes and colours too.. Florists must be grinning from ear to ear.. Business sure looks good! haha~ I can understand the stress bfs are facing during vday... Wondering if the gfs would mind if they didnt receive any... And if the guys ever buy, they would normally fret over how big a bouquet it should be (recession leh~)... haha....

Anyway, back to the dinner... =) This place brings back fond memories for me as I used to grow up around this place (Beh Beh Yi's place is just less than 100m away).. haha~ Name of the restaurant: Manna Restaurant...

We made our orders soon after we settled down.. The deco is something which I must mention.. It has such a homely feel to it.. There were nice curtains (he said it looked dirty) haha.. and warm lighting.. wooden chairs added to the cozy ambience.. perfect! What's even better was, the restaurant was pretty empty! so much better than squeezing with crowds in town... It's a nice place to dine, if you enjoy some quieter moments with ur date/savouring the food...

The food was good.... Esp the BBQ Pork! It is well marinated and the meat is sooo tender.. It melts in ur mouth (I'm kiddin, if it melts, it means that the meat is spoilt =P) The savory marinated pork had a tinge of sweetness to it as well....... Though not exactly cheap ($22), it was the main lead on the table that night =)

The food was so good that we finished all of it.. Tadah! all swimming inside our satisfied stomachs.... =)

And I finally watched Benjamin Button after that at Tiong Bahru Plaza... haha! I like the story.. I finally understood why I've received such diverse reviews about this film.. It's either you hate it/love it.. Well, as for me... I was totally captivated by the story.. It sets me thinking after the movie.. How would it feel like if I were to live my life backwards... Did you ever think about that? The physical changes that you have to go through (aging backwards) while your mental capabilities function and age as normal.. It's pretty interesting........ Go catch it if you don't mind a long/draggy movie.. You'll just have to follow through...... =)

Valentine's day went past just like that.............. And yes, I'm glad I spent it with my Valentine~ =)

PPG Meet-up~

On Friday the 13th, PPG met up for a pre-valentine's day dinner... HAHA~ Our vv own valentine's dinner... =)

Sweetie Felicia (Blossoms) bought us a stalk of rose each... hee! Such a dearie.... Thank you so much babe~ =)
We had our dinner over this vv simple restaurant/cafe at Novena which sells pretty good Ayam Penyet.. Heard Mr Koh mention about this restaurant some time back.. And since Felicia said it serves quite a decent meal, so why not? HAHA~
This is my Ayam Penyet.. I so love and hate this sambal chilli (or some other kind of chilli) haha...

We went for some shopping after dinner to burn off those extra calories.. =P Shops were slowly closing and it's time for some chilling... Wanted to go to Harry's, but I was quite disturbed and disappointed by the crowd, deco and ambience... haha! I can imagine myself falling asleep inside.. =P Bad Bad... Very bad for chilling.. I wonder why people visit this branch.. haha! or maybe my expectations were too high~ I'm sure my PPG felt the same way too....


Cam-whoring on our way... haha!

We decided to head over to Starbucks for a simple girlie coffee session~ =) we havent had this kinda chilling sessions for such a long time yea?........... We had coffee, good ambience, lovely deco and most importantly great company............. Talking to PPG makes me miss school so much.. Missed the days where we would attend tutorials/lectures/projects/eat/laze ard in school together.. Not forgetting shopping sessions after school....... We were simply inseparable.. haha!

Now that we're working and busy with work and all, schooling life seems sooooo far away........ But of course that doesnt mean that PPG has disappeared from the scene... Bring the 3 girls together and be prepared for a major catastrophe.. haha!

Our Liu Mei Mei (Bubbles) brought up this highly controversial and sensitive topic all of a sudden during our coffee session... And I'm amazed by how much we can talk about it for the whole session =P Tsk Tsk! Girls~ haha...
I shant disclose the topic.. It's a PPG thing.. HAHA~ Liu mei mei.. Your turn to be drilled next time.. =P Feli, get ready all ur weapons..

Though it was a short meet-up, we all had fun... I love my PPG =) It's friends like them that makes life worthwhile...... Friends who know you in and out.. accept you for who you are... That's what friends are for....... =)

It's horrifying to know how fast time flies.. Seriously.. I'm turning 23 this year.. Goodness, I can't believe it.. This is the time to discover and acheive~ I realized I have been repeating and blabbering about how fast time flies, but seriously, time is slipping away too quickly.. *screams*

This is a super old school song~ haha.. Ebony and Ivory is the title of this song.. Fabulous pairing of 2 powerful vocalists: Stevie Wonder and Paul McCartney.. It definitely created wonders~.. haha! And Paul Mc Cartney sure looks young.. He's like the Brad Pitt in those days.. =)

Time for some feel-good songs.. Just sing along to this song and it makes your muscles relax.. soothes your tensed-up nerves... Groovy and catchy.. Once again, makes me wanna escape to somewhere again.. haha! to a place where I can cruise along aimlessly, singing along to this song happily, sipping cold coconut juice.. This song brings me back to the 80's man.. haha~

Apparently, If I'm not wrong, this song promotes racial harmony.. And that we should live together in harmony.. Just like ebony and ivory keys on the piano.. Simple and up-lifting isnt it?.. Perfect! This is another song that will stay etched in my mind for a long time.. What happened to songs nowadays????... haha.. Tsk tsk!

So fast so fast, my vacation ended... How I wish I don't have to go back to work =P I had so much fun over at Genting.. My only worry is to think of what to eat... I'm spoilt for choice......... HAHA~ I love such holidays.. Though I did not go to the outdoor theme park, like how I would always do when I go Genting.. Lazing/walking around aimlessly is just as pleasant! It was such an enjoyable trip up the mountains with Mummy dearest and my Beh Beh Yi... =) Oh ya, I did alot of shopping too~ haha.......... Super cheap Mango clothes, and Vincci shoes.. woohoo~ =)

Lastly, to make sure we dun get hungry along the way back on coach... We went to try the famous Bak Kut Teh~ HAHA~ RM36.80.... Exp, but worth a try! =)

And there........................ I reached Singapore at around 830pm~ So fast! Though the trip was short, it was really enjoyable.. Super relaxing and cold.. HAHA! and I had a different kind of fun.......... Again again please~~~~
