Final parts of birthday celebration!

Finally, I met up with my PPG and JC girlies to celebrate my birthday! =)

We caught up over yummy food, good company and lots of catching up~ updating the latest happenings in everyone's life..

Looking fwd to Lily's Wedding and am very happy for my dearest blossoms too~ finally took the first step towards settling down and got herself a bto unit with her beau of many years! I'm sure they are both in very good hands =)

Really touched that I'm surrounded by so many lovely friends who will celebrate my birthday with me every year~ reminding me how lucky I am.. friends whom I've known since a long long time ago, I know they will be my friends for life! Been through our growing up years together! Sharing the ups and downs =) Thank you dearies for being there.. *hugs*

Birthday celebrations part 4 - back at work

Headed back to work a day after my birthday and was glad my table was still neat (coz my cols are famous for 'table-wrecking' those on leave/mc/on course).. Haha! I've been a victim on many occasions, so I was prepared for to see an unrecognisable table.. Haha!

To my pleasant surprise, my dear table was spared! =)

Had a birthday lunch celebration with my lunch khakis at mad for garlic at clarke quay~ yummy deals they have during lunch!

My loveable lunch khakis prepared a surprise "after-lunch" celebration for me! Haha.. There was a big choc cake and they rounded up everyone from my team and those sitting around me (approx 20 ppl) to sing me a birthday song! That was one of the loudest birthday song I've heard (sang for me!).. Haha! *touched and shy* =p

My lunch khakis gave me a personalised Jay Chou birthday card (totally cool) and a green bag organiser (they know my handbag is perpetually messy) + chocs.. Haha!

Really touched by their actions! =) really glad and thankful that I've made such good friends in OSHD~ met up with friends from my ex dept - IMD for birthday lunches too!

Work aside, It's friends like them that make my journey in MOM so enjoyable and meaningful! =)

Birthday celebrations part 3 - My Birthday!

Took leave from work as it was my birthday~ haha.. So that I can sleep late and wake up late =) coz it's my day! Princess Lim's day.. Haha~

Mummy cooked mee sua for me the day before, a tradition as with most Chinese families~

Haha.. Early part of my birthday was spent at home relaxing about, watching some online movies, painting my nails, etc.. As lazy as I can get =p

In the evening, my family and I headed over to Jpot at Tampines one for steamboat dinner! =) gd recommendation by me (ahem!) and everyone had a great time bonding over delicious pipping hot steamboat~ haha..

A simple yet sumptuous birthday dinner with my dearest mummy, daddy, ah qi and gor gor =) They got me a pretty necklace too!

Thank you dearest mummy for going through 9 long months of pregnancy, torturous labour pains to bring me to this world, all the sacrifices made and showering 26 years (and counting) of unconditional tender loving care on me.. Of course not forgetting dearest daddy too.. Haha! They are the pillars of strength in my life~

They gave me 2 lovable (at times irritating) siblings too, so life at home is not too boring =p

Birthday celebrations part 2

Celebrated my birthday with Mr Koh in advance coz he won't be around on my actual birthday~

Was surprised with a bouquet of beautiful roses when he picked me up from my course venue! =)

He brought me over to the tranquil keppel bay and since it was still early for dinner, we strolled around the little island, snapping pretty instax pictures with the flowers.. Haha~

Lost count of how many pictures we took, but there were lots! Settled at a pavilion, where Mr Koh presented me with part 2 of my birthday pressie.. Haha.. Gorgeous swarovski heart-shaped pendant and necklace~ =) more pictures soon followed..

Part 3 of the celebrations was dining over at Prive cafe, a first-time for us.. Decent fare served, and we ended dinner with sinful Oreo mudpie! *yums*

We strolled around the beautiful island till nightfall, enjoying (more like peeping into rich ppl's apartments/yatchs) the nightview and serenity of the surroundings~ I would really love to stay in one of those resort-style apartments if I could =p I wish~~~

Thank you Mr Koh for the beautiful flowers, necklace and dinner date on this pretty island! =)

It was a simple and lovely celebration with good company~

Birthday celebrations part 1

Birthday celebrations for me this year was kick-started by my lovely babes namely aijia, angie and fanny, in a beautiful cafe called Antoinette (palais renaissance), few days before my bdae..

Really beautiful place, made me feel as though I'm in Paris (even tho I've not been to Paris, I think this is how it would look like =p) the parisian pavilion, the flowers and greens, the royal looking arm chairs, etc.. It's gorgeous!

Great place for girlies to meet up and chat over dinner =) Angie and I ordered their famous all day bfast, while Aijia ordered the seafood aglio olio.. Yummy!

They even bought me their famous earl grey flavoured cake! One of the yummiest cakes I've ever tasted~ Awesome goodness!

The evening was filled with Polaroid picture taking, cam whoring and lots of girly chitter chatter *yak yak yak* haha..

Thank you lovelies! Though it was a short meet up, I had lots of fun =) thank you for the presents too! Will practise eye make up more often =p hee..

Happy Birthday to me!

In another few mins, my birthday would be over~ I had a great birthday this year =) gonna slowly blog about the celebrations soon.. Haha!

It's interesting to see how my priorities have changed over the years.. Some things that matter to me in the past, don't really seem to matter now~ for example, I really look forward to receiving presents from family and friends when I was young~ and eagerly waiting for friends to wish me 'Happy Birthday' when the clock strikes 12.. Haha..

Now, as I grow older (hopefully wiser) what I really value/treasure is the precious family bond and friendships that surround me =) these things make me feel rich and complete~ and gradually superficial and material wants took a backseat..

I feel truly blessed with all my loved ones around me~ My birthday wish this year? Good health and Happiness to my loved ones! =) nothing can be more valuable than that..

Before the clock strikes 12 again (to 16 Oct), here's wishing myself a Happy Happy Birthday!! *big hug to myself* =)

The month that passed me so quickly! An eventful one indeed~

I finally attended my greatest idol's concert! It was surreal~ even with all the jostling and sweaty ppl ard me, I was so mesmerised my eyes welled up with tears of joy! *JAY JAY JAY* pls come back again pls pls~

It was the mooncake festival too! Savoured yummy snowskin ones from fairmont (thank you Mr Koh!), and fell in love with liquor-infused rum and raisin moonie =p we visited the chinese garden and carried paper laterns like little kids too~ and nope, I didn't burn my lantern... I'm not a boy =p haha..

We were at Chinatown too on the actual mooncake festival day itself! Very colourful and pretty night it was~ Afterall, this place holds a special meaning in my heart though it has changed (for reasons I shall not mention =p) quite abit over the years.. I grew up here! =)

Of course our prawning adventures just got juicier~ the prawn king managed to break his personal record again.. Currently stands at 1 prawn per 5.77 mins~ haha!
