Was at Suntec City this aftn... Wanted to visit Comex, but was deterred by the horrible crowd.. Walked ard City hall, Suntec and Marina instead.. Met my dearest Angie there too... She looked radiant! *woots* (P.S Angie, I love your top!) hee...

As Mr Koh was feeling rich, he treated me to Shokudo! The Japanese Restaurant with a theme similar to marche.. Had truck loads of food...

Jap Ebi and bacon with wasabi mayo pizza: 7.80++

I duno why I remembered the prices so well.. But the food sure tasted good! Esp the Jap Pizza... Im drooling now.. HAha!

I found another nice song! It's not a new song.. I always hear it on radio, but somehow this song never really caught my attention.. Maybe coz the version that I hear on radio is the one with alot of heavy instruments and screaming.. HAha!

So I was over at Timbre yesterday night, and the live band happened to sing this song "Lips of an angel" by Hinder.. acoustic.. My goodness.. This time round, with lesser instruments clouding and snatching the limelight from the lyrics, I'm able to clearly hear and understand the whole meaning of the song.. Soulful.. heart-wrenching...

Happy Birthday Lifang!

Thursday evening was spent with my bro, ah qi, and my dearest Beh beh yi =) Headed over to AMK Hub for pepper lunch! Woo~ Salmon pepper rice has alwiz been my number 1! Just like how honey oat cold cut trio with red wine sauce (Subway) has alwiz topped my chart... =P HAha...

Rushed out of office aft 6.. only to be drove around in circles by the 155 bus.. Took me round the estate, and then came out to the next bustop in front of the bustop I intitally boarded (same stretch of road).. If you know what I mean.. It's quite amusing and irritating at the same time.. The atrocious jam at aljunied didnt help much..

Finally, it was dinner time =)

Lazed around at Timbre again... Different company this time round......... There was this happy hour promotion.. Buy 2 glasses of beer and get a pizza free! So... since there are 4 of us ard, we of coz ordered 4 glasses of beer and 2 pizzas........ Spent: 6o Bucks!

I personally do not like beer.. Drinking beer on an empty stomach made me tipsy after a while.. I remembered telling the girls I feel like the world is spinning after few sips... HAha! Lousy drinker leh............ I used to be able to drink alot more.. =P

Made a personal birthday dedication for Lifang as there was live band singing... Acoustic.. The song we chose for her: Always be my baby... HAha! Very soulfully sang by the guys (it was the same band that performed when I was there the other time).. One of the guys even took a glance at Lifang while singing.. HAha............ seriously, it's funny =P
The cake we got for the birthday girl was cheesecake with choc cake base and....... A Mooncake! How apt! HAha......... It was hilarious.. I call it the fusion! =) Since mid autumn festival is around the corner, we bought one to celebrate together.. It's my first mooncake...

Keeping in mind that I still hafta work the next day, I left earlier....... Felt real bad not being able to stay longer.. Tho I reali wanted to stay on..... But I was feeling very tired by then... Went home feeling like a zombie.. Fridays really don't feel the same if you have to work on Saturdays.. *Boo*

Aniwae, we're meeting up soon! haha.. coz silly seetoh forgot to bring Lifang's present =)... HAha! I shall await our next meet-up!

A Mid-Week Company Dinner

Was at the Holiday Inn at the atrium just now.. on a Wednesday night.. Mini company dinner, tho not all were present.. HAha! It was a buffet dinner at this restaurant inside the hotel, called Melting Pot.. Food was ok, not very fantastic considering the price that we pay.. but above average that is.. Btw, it's company's treat.......

Overseas staff were invited over for some training workshop.. And I had the chance to break away from the mundane work in office.. Managed to sit in to some talks and discussion in the conference rooms... It was all about understanding the diff subsidiaries operations and stuff.. I had a good time interacting with them during the discussion.. Nice ppl from Vietnam, Philippines, Malaysia and China..

We adjourned to the restaurant at night.. Had a hearty dinner while interacting with fellow colleagues.. I was vv full after the meal! =P

As mentioned in my previous post, I went to this cafe at Holland Village called 2am dessert bar, on Friday night after the fireworks at Marina Bay area.. Vv atas place.. Gosh! Nice and posh decor with super comfy sofa seats and cushions.. Nice place to chill... Calling all gal pals! One day when we're richer and free-er, this place k.. One thing to note, the food is exp... So, if we ever go, make sure we sit until 'butt open flower' k.. HAha... Make it more worthwhile.. =P

Saturday Night: I went to attend my cousin's 21st birthday... His dad who is my dad's brother who is thus my uncle, organized this party for him.. At ParkRoyal Hotel, near little India.. I DROVE THERE! hee.......... My 3rd time driving dad's car, and my 1st on CTE! =) I think I'm vv hiong.. But I'm careful k... It's fun.. really feel so different controlling the car, comparing to being a passenger... I drove with the harshest conditions.. Rain, night, jam, cold, fear =P But I'm still in one piece..

Aniwaes, back to the party.. It was hotel buffet kinda party.. $30 per pax!!! Gosh.. Amounts to few thousands? I duno... But the most impt thing is, food must be good.. HAHA! My motivation.. Not too bad, but I know I definitely did not eat 30 bucks worth of food....

What a week...

This has got to be the most demanding, overwhelming and horrible week thus far... Seriously! What a way to kill it with atrocious weather over the weekend... Very lousy...

Exception: Sensational fireworks (from France) on Friday night... Followed by dessert at 2am dessertbar at Holland Village with Mr Koh, changyan and huimei... =)

I wanna do something else, something different, something I enjoy, something I like... Maybe listen to some new age music, do some handicraft, cook some exotic dishes.. I wanna travel.. I wanna go to the airport.. (Starting to blabber.....) =P

Yes, it's still raining while I'm typing.. and my precious lovely Saturday slips away just like that........... Haiz!

The Beijing Olympics 2008

Seriously, I havent been following the Beijing Olympics religiously like how some of my friends/family members do.. HAha... What a mountain turtle right?
I wasnt even at home to catch the opening ceremony, which I heard was exceptionally impressive and awesome.. HAha! A lil tempted to catch the replay.. But didnt noe exactly when it will be, so the thought just faded away.....

There was this big hoo-haa about this pretty lil girl who lip-sync during one of the performances during the opening.. Wells, it reminded me of the recent korean movie.. The prettier one basked in the limelight, while the average-looking girl with angelic voice had to sing backstage, away from public's view.. Unfair, but I can understand why... Human beings are superficial...
Kids are all cute and pretty ma.... I don't see much difference seriously... Suku!

Then, there was all the hype about Michael Phelps.. Wonder swimmer i presume.. HAha! 8 medals? HAha.. Girls swooning over his to-die-for good looks and body... But seriously, I'm not into swimming or swimmers.. hee!
Legendary pool shark! (sy, please wipe off your drool) =P

Then, there's this China hurdler.. Liu Xiang I think.. Poor him.. heard he injured himself and was ripped off the chance to compete... Hopes of millions of China chinese were shattered, while he wept uncontrollably.. Sad!

Then, Singapore finally got her medal after a drought of 48 years.. Congrats to the table tennis team! A proud silver medal...... Though I'm not a fan of the sport, I still feel happy for Singapore.. Will we be given a public holiday to celebrate this joyous achievement? *pretty pleaseeeeeee*

Aniwae, this is how lil I know about the mega-event... How detached I am.. HAha........ But but, I will try to catch the closing ceremony... HAha..

Till then, London 2012... I will be 26.. Gosh!

My Younger Days.... continued...

There are a few reasons why I'm so fascinated with anything related to the aviation industry..

Anything that flies high up in the air, grabs my attention... It's the running/operations of this dynamic industry that makes me yearn to work in the aviation industry...... Definitely an interesting and unforgettable experience.. Something that I look forward to in future.. Maybe not now, sadly... but I'll keep the faith.. A friend recently told me she rejected the offer to work in the aviation sector, and I really wonder why??? HAha.........

Flipping through my photo albums, I found a few pictures of my younger days..

I guess it's because I've been so exposed to aeroplanes when I was young, and that it unknowingly grows on me.. Visiting the airport, attending airshows, exhibitions... Never fails to bring a smile onto my face.. I know I've always loved the planes.. Not forgetting the lovely airport of coz... =)

I don't know why I had to lift my skirt so high that it nearly exposed my undies.. HAha.. I guess I was trying to pose for the picture.. And I remembered my dearest photographer (Papa Lim that is), always asked me to pose this way... Usually one hand on the waist, the other lifting the ends of my dress.. Trying to strike a sweet and girlish pose while doing it...

I realized that this pose has become a trademark.. coz as I flipped through some individual shots of myself, the same pose haunts me............... HAHA!

HAHA................... See what I mean? Overdo liao......................... But as I laugh at my own pictures, I'm glad/thankful to have Papa Lim to help me take such beautiful pictures of me when I was young... =) At least I'll have some pictures to show my kids/grandchildren next time! HAha..

The younger days..

Being stuck in the office for too long deprives me of quality time with the outside world.. I realized I havent been seeing lil kids for quite some time already.. Other than my lil JiaXin.. I seem to miss hearing and seeing lil kids play/scream during weekdays... HAha! I know it sounds weird.. But seriously, I'm so surrounded by adults.. How I wish kids were allowed in offices.. They will definitely add some laughter and colour to the work environment...

Speaking of which, I was flipping through old photo albums few weeks ago.. I chanced upon some really lovely pictures of me (Yes, me... ) when I was very much younger, and smaller.. hee!
